What gives Tatters? Why not share the entire press release? The middle paragraph was completely uplifting and shares her character....

Has anybody heard the latest news regarding the health of Merry Clayton after her car accident ?

No updates on the internet, as far as I can see. Hopefully, her recovery is going well.

You'd think there would be some sort of update, has been close to a month(June 16th) since the accident.
Hope all is well on your recovery.

For what it's worth, I've tried to do some checking around town here in L.A. and come up with zero. Nothing intrusive, just asking if anyone has heard how she is. I called a local oldies station where some of the staff would know of her and presumably have a contact. I called two classic rock stations here, got nothin'. Hospitals of course have to follow privacy laws. The L.A. Times people didn't even know she was injured, despite the news being in USA Today, The Hollywood Reporter and Rolling Stone. Of course, even at that those outlets picked it up after it was on her website.

On her own accomplishments one would think her situation would get some coverage, but factoring in the success of "20 Feet From Stardom" you'd think it would be automatic. On one hand however, no news is good news.

Had to believe it's been 6 years since that terrible accident. It seems no one knew what had happened to her but she seems to be in good health/spirits now [www.youtube.com]
