Epic tune. Get this gem into the Keith "set". Does anyone agree?

They don't seem to have played this after the 81/82 tour.

For an album that was supposed to have been their last true "classic", aside from Start Me Up, they seem to have ignored most all of the songs from it, with an occasional nod once every blue moon to Worried About You and Waiting On A Friend.

It would be a nice addition, a good crowd pleaser, and I wonder how many of their "casual" fans know the song. It got a lot of rock station radio play when the album was first released.

But Keith is choosing from only 3 songs this tour....

I was lucky enough to hear it in Foxboro in 2006. But want it again.

They did actually (from [www.setlist.fm]) :

Would indeed be a good idea, might not be easy to pull off at this point, but a bit of practice...if they could be bothered, but then why would they ;-)

OK, I'll be the dissenting voice, then. NOT my favorite Stones song, with some pretty inane words. But I guess it would mix things up a bit. The thought of getting this rather than YGTS is a bit alarming, though.

I love that Keith is doing You Got The Silver. I've heard it a bunch of times already but it's so good. I prefer Before They Make Me Run over Happy and would gladly accept a rotation with Little T&A. Thinking back to Giants Stadium in 2006 I just couldn't believe he was actually playing it. The bootleg will tell me how it was because I don't really remember.

I would love to see them play Little T & A, and Connection!!!

T&A would be great, but it's in a class with SSC and Sway; A simple song they seemingly refuse to play correctly.

Everybody knows Keith's mini-set should be:

Thief in the Night
How Can I Stop

Keith is even rehearsing How Can I Stop with Bernard and Lisa in the Four Flicks DVD, why did they never do it???!!!

Other songs I'd love would be Little T&A, Sleep Tonight, Infamy, Thru & Thru, All About You... so many great ones. I love the fact they're doing YGTS at the moment.

Indeed...and since they don't have Blondie anymore, one of the Micks would have to learn Keith's guitar part !

As for "How Can I Stop", it WAS played...once : Madison Square Garden, New York, NY, USA on January 14, 1998

Blondie was inaudible on the 2006-versions. It's really weird that he's even playing the Les Paul on stage. The only time I've heard Blondie properly is the beautiful acoustic guitar on Nearness Of You.

How Can I Stop? That would have been something - play it, Keith - you're just playing fills on it anyway! thumbs up

I wish he'd mix up his songs much more - Little T&A, Slipping Away, Thru & Thru, Can't Be Seen, Sleep Tonight, Losing My Touch, Infamy. He's got so many great ones, but always falls back on these two for some reason.

Wow, you're right! I didn't know that. [www.setlist.fm] Awesome.

While I was looking for that, I noticed they did The Worst one night of the ABB Tour at MSG. That's very surprising.

Didn't they play The Worst/Infamy for most of the US leg of the tour?

Little t and a is awesome. Great in 81 but it sure stunk on SAL extras.

as a staunch social conservative, i cannot support the reappearance of this song. By the by, whatever happened to that nice T&A poster who used to hang around here?

Happy, before they make me run & you got the silver are simply the 3 best songs. So of course he picks 2 of those.
Although I have a weak spot for Thief in the Night.

But I think the Keith set isn't necessary. I'd rather hear and see some Rolling Stones on stage at that time (The Rolling Stones includes Mick Jagger).

The keith set is indispensable IMO

I'd love to see him do Little T&A slowed down and with an acoustic, like a ballad
