This is one of those lamentable 'why bother' songs that the Stones pulled out for their live set during the noughties.

To me the rule of thumb has to be, if you can't better the original version than stay away, especially as there are heaps of great songs in their own catlogue that could be unearthed. Love Train and Get Up Stand Up were two others. For me this was the cue to go out and siphon the python!

Leave it to Brother Ray. I did see them do it in 2005 at Melbourne -Lisa great as usual-but would much rather have got Gimmie Shelter.

Fogerty also did a better version

Also Aretha Franklin did a great version for Atlantic: it also crops up on the Girl Interrupted soundtrack.

Fogerty's version is with Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Belongs to one of those performances that didn't left any trace in my memory. And not eager try to find it somewhere and re-listen.
