Dave Mathews makes Keith's voice sound great. Mathews is one of my least favorite artists. If its him I'll do something I've never done during a performance of the Stones - A pee break!

Well, he did guest on Memory Motel once, so you would figure they might tap him to sing "back up to Boston" in one of the shows. Was Memory Motel among the numbers they rehearsed in LA in April? They did rehearse Moonlight Mile, so maybe he';; guest on that one. It's just speculation at this point, so who knows? Perhaps we'll luck out and he won't appear after all.

You idiots continue to prove that you are on average 75 yo old and have no connection to modern music. In the 1990's Dave combined a little jazz, pop, and guitar to make great music. Have any of you listned to Under the Table? or Crash? There is a reason the guy bridged the gap and is invited to play with Neil Young every year. I could only hope! Somehow I doubt it would happen though. The idea of Joe or Brad sitting in with the full band does a whole lot more to my imagination than having the AC/DC boys sit in years ago... I'd also love to see JP, KR, RW & MT showing off some raw, accoustic blues (although we know there's no chance of that happening).

Would also love it if they got Peter Wolf from J Geils Band to come in for a song.

I'll be praying that Steven Tyler doesn't come anywhere close to the Stones stage. I may love him in A-smith but don't think he could add anything to a Stones show. Brad and Joe? Yeah. I could get into seeing them in a Stones setting.

Regardless of who's there or not, I'm going to be jealous of everyone who IS there on 6/12... That's 44th birthday AND my hometown! I'll be working 1,000 miles away... Andrewt are you going to Boston #1? I'll be needing some GOOD show updates on Wednesday!

As a non-american I don`t have a special opinion about Dave Matthews. Well his music is nice (well I don`t really like it) and his guest spots are ok.
But I noticed that many people on this board (from the US?) have very controversial opinions about him. What is it that many people hate or bash him? His music, his look or image in the US? Can you explain?

Aside for my distaste for guests, he is kind of bland. He is kind of aligned with the alternative crowd, but he is too mainstream to be "dangerous." His hiccupy voice becomes annoying.....he doesn't play like a John Mayer and doesn't have the balls of a Grohl. The only one in his age range that I really dig is Doyle Bramhall II, and he is content being Claptons sideman/producer. This is due largely to his distaste for the industry.....I hoped this helps.
