I wonder what 'old people' said when the stones started playing on their favorite T.V. shows (Ed Sullivan) in the middle sixties. What goes around, comes around. And, I promised not to be like my parents! Oh oh!

I'm kind of on the fence on the TS performance. Would I have liked more of an acknowledgment of their blues roots than a one off performance by Taj Mahal? Sure...don't get me wrong, Taj is great but he's not from Chicago and the song he did was more of a rocker than blues.

However, if TS had to be there, "As Tears Go By" was an excellent choice and a great opportunity to hear a great ballad. But, I don't mean to be a prude but her outfit I think was inappropriate for the song. It's a demure song about lost love and she looked like...well, let's just say I think the outfit would have worked better if she had done "Live with Me" or "Honky Tonk Women." But, I bet Mick didn't mind one bit!

You guys are so incredibly wrong... Carrie Underwood is when the Stones jumped the shark. Taylor Swift looks like a raging singer songwriter in comparison. Apparently winning American Idol is enough to launch you into duets with Mick Jagger. And Taylor Swift bought her way into American mainstream.

From this point on I will plan on checking for any major setlist changes on this tour. Otherwise, I enjoyed the two gigs in Chicago (28th, 31st) and feel that seeing any other gigs on this tour will essentially be seeing the exact same show but in a different city. Very few song changes, too expensive.

The 31st was a PHENOMENAL show to go out on. 13th show for me. CYHMK with Taylor... bucketlist nearly completed! Never got to hear them do a Chuck Berry song, but that would be the ONLY thing I haven't gotten to see them do, honestly.

When they started into As Tears Go By I was really excited to hear something they hadn't played on this tour.The had just done Sway with Mick Taylor and then Live With Me, both off of the so called request list and a third new song made me think OK they are going to do something special tonight. I knew Taylor Swift was joining them but I thought later into the show. I've heard her sing before ( not live) and thought she was alright but last night I thought she tried to sing over Jagger and her posing annoyed me. I don't think I will ever be able to listen to As Tears Go BY in the same way ever again.

EGADS get a grip it's only one song a night! I really don't like the guest spot but it's not really that big a deal. Hey for the 600 buck ticket prices the Queen should be guesting but either way it's not that big a deal. So they threw you a curve with Taylor Swift and at least it's an interesting change whether you dig it or not. "I don't think I will ever be able to listen to As Tears Go BY in the same way ever again." I mean really get a life plus it's not the freshest tune could use a boost. Relax.

1982 part of that tour was actually better the the American leg judging from the recordings that I've heard. Hampton? Is your opinion based a a video you watched?

No Security was a better tour than '81. Sorry.

Last great album was really Some Girls but whatever... They have produced some great songs since and I frankly like Rough Justice and Doom and Gloom. They are still a fantastic live band as last Friday in Chicago proved to me so saying they died in 81 is a bunch of b.s.

The inflatables in the mid-70s were the warning signs and the football gear and crane on the 81 tour was the shark jumping moment. All signs of MJs desperation to do anything to try to stay modern and relevant. Taylor Swift guesting is just another symptom of the same problem.
