Covering stories like these would require actual journalism on the part of the news channels. It's far cheaper for them to fill air time with talking heads beating domestic wedge issues into the ground and creating top ten lists.

I agree

This is a case of the "liberal" populace protesting against the islamic president that they recently elected and his intolerant fundamentalist policies. Methinks they should have thought of that before they elected him. Good luck with that. Hopefully the Turkish military will get rid of the current leadership and hold new elections or install a moderate, but I wouldn't be placing any bets on that this early on.
