Very disappointing if they are down to 21 songs. I was hoping that as the tour progressed the boys would be firing on all cylinders. But with the comments of the last show and now down two songs this does not bode well for Hyde Park. They might be lucky to get a 15 or 16 song set list. I'm sure everyone will say what a great show it was but the boys are pulling back. Maybe there guarantee was cut and this is the payback. Already saw them dump the drummers after the ticket debacle on opening night. Now if they do a four song encore, all is forgiven.

The boys are firing on all cylinders! Have been this entire tour. What they are doing is nothing short of remarkable. We need to keep our eyes on the bigger picture.

Mick and Charlie are firing on all cylinders. Ronnie is average at best. It's nice to see Keith on stage and he is more engaged that in the past, but he is below average at best. I love the band and have seen and will see more shows on the tour but there is no excuse for the reduction of songs. If you recall the set list for London 1 had 25 songs on it but was reduced by two for curfew reasons.

I wouldn't push the panic button. There are three shows in Chicago. The bottom line has always been how they sound overall. That should be true with any band. The Stones are efficient. They were never guitar virtuosos to begin with. Mick Taylor can bring that element just enough to spice up the show. But their music doesn't require a Mick Taylor on every song. They sound fantastic on every video I have seen. What more can we expect from them. They are giving it their best and their best is still very damn good!

That's exactly what they should have done. They could have had an acoustic/country/reggae/blues set and then full speed rock n roll!! The intermission gives you time to have sex in the bathroom and come back to start it up again!!

just fyi - McCartney is currently playing 38 songs in his show. I'd still rather see the Stones. They could easily add some more variety to their set list by just playing some more songs!

Stop comparing McCartney's show with the Stones! Does he move like Jagger? Do you want to run Mick into the ground? What he is doing is nothing short of remarkable! I am surprised they are even doing 22 songs! How many were they doing six years ago for ABB? They are six years older today!

Is ByeBye Johnny really Ronnie Wood?

My guess would be yes.

Yes, interesting isn't it, how BBJ always seems to come through with the backstage Ron Wood pics just before show time. BBJ obviously travels with the band and has insider access. If not RW himself, then perhaps he is RW's personal assistant.

It's not really that interesting when you consider that all these photos are from Ronnie's twitter feed and available for anyone on twitter to view. winking smiley

Ah, so that's how it's done. ByeBye Johnny, who is really Ron Wood, snaps the photos backstage, uploads them to twitter, and then copies them onto IORR. Clever! That way ByeBye Johnny, who is really Ron Wood, keeps his cover from getting blown. Well, his secret is safe with me.

They did "One More Shot" tonight! 22 songs is still the number.

I think it's time to stop trusting Stones Planet Brazil since they didn't get "All Down The Line" in the set until much later on the show where MT played on 4 songs . . .

I saw McCartney in Austin, a bit after seeing the Stones in Vegas. The Stones absolutely blew him away. Paul was still great, but he was like some dorky old fuddy duddy up there telling lame (but endearing) stories while singing some great tunes. The Stones are old, but seem way more rock n roll than Sir Paul.

Just because someone plays more songs, or plays for longer, doesn't mean it's better. Some times it can even drag on and get tiresome. We left McCartney's show after Yesterday, knowing what the setlist was and with one of us having to get up at 5am to catch a plane. Don't regret missing the end.

I'm not sure the Stones should play any longer than they are. Two hours is still pretty long, and the quality of the show might degrade if they tried to play for longer and get tired. Paul's backing band is much younger, and he isn't putting in the energy of Jagger, so the lengths of their shows is apples vs oranges.

I don't know how the Boss does it for 3 hours though, he is a machine.

I saw him do 3:40 last summer in Toronto. Unreal.

Just back....this show was a bore. They stole the money from me. MT on only MR. Its a complete joke.

Everything is so canned and tightly coreographed.....

Everyone I was with were stunned that MT had only one song prior to encore.

NO 3 GUITAR ATTACK. DOES NOT EQUATE TO $600 OF VALUE MUCH LESS $100.

I don't know why the Boss does it for three hours except to impress everybody with his stamina. I'm talking as a Springsteen tourist: the performance never lets up from full blast for a single second, and by the time he gets round to any hits you're too exhausted to enjoy them. But I guess I'm not his target audience.

The problem is that since it's been 35 yrs since their last record that mattered all you can do is compare them to their own past. Yes, it's remarkable that 70 yr old men can play rock'n'roll efficiently. And it's understandable that how they play now pales in comparison to what they used to sound like.

That Rocks Off clip from tonight's show is awful ... except it's pretty damn good for 70 year olds!

just got back. The Stones still rule!!! It was a good night 1 of 3. Setlist was a little blah, but got to hear a great version of Rocks Off so I can't complain at all!!! Thought Taj was cool too!

Here's a pic I took. Sorry about the bad quality, just used my phone... Thought it was pretty cool to see Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie all huddle up before the YCAGWYW!

Here's to just getting started and two more Chicago shows with hopefully more Mick T!!!!!!

Rocks Off had some rough spots but was still fun. The crowd went crazy on Rambler. Everything was played great. From our seats in 309 it was the BEST SOUND I HAVE EVER HEARD.

Just goes to show--I paid more than that and thought it was worth (almost) every penny (would have loved more MT). Rambler was terrific.

I recorded the gig on my camera. The video footage will not be used but the audio should be stellar. Sound was AMAZING in section 309. $85 seats paid off. 6 Days and Rambler were tops.

Wild Horses, Gimme Shelter and Tumbling Dice need to dropped. Show needs to open with Start Me Up. Add more rare tracks. Let Taylor play on more songs. Etc.....

It was a great show.
