I'm thinking of getting a few boots from this tour what would you recommend as the best two for sound quality, setlist. Sorry if this has been covered already.

The silver disc DVD of the two London 02 shows is amazing. Great sound and multi camera angles. It's called Out Of The Wood.

San Jose is excellent!

San Jose as well as Oakland are great for sound quality. Most thrilling performance is possibly 2nd Anaheim. Best setlist would be 2nd Los Angeles (All Down The Line, Far Away Eyes, Sway, CYHMK...).

Unfortunately the 5/20 Staples recording isn't very good. Oakland and San Jose sound the best.

There's an excellent San Jose boot, the very best. Wished the 2nd LA Staples was that good, because that's the most exciting show thus far.

I think he thinks that silverdagger meant '02, not "O2".

They've all been posted in this section of the forums : [www.iorr.org]

In terms of recording quality my vote goes to the second source for both Oakland and San Jose and the new MILOCAMPO Las Vegas lossless is really good too.

The 02 Arena/enormodome...whatever. The gigs from last November 2012. The DVD from those shows is magnificent. And a few of our regular IORRians are on the pre-show interview bit, monkeytonkman and paulywaul, for starters. Not sure if they are still running that segment in America?

To my old ears the best recording of this tour so far is the May 15th Anaheim opener that was recorded by Scooter123!

There's a good sounding Vegas show on Youtube. The visuals not so much. It does cut off during Satisfaction though.

The recording by Ironchef of the Chicago June 3rd show sounds great, Very clean with all instruments mixed well and very little audience. Not sure if it's out as a boot but I'm sure it will be.

Chicago II : [www.iorr.org]

great sound and a much better perf than the often-lauded Chicago III (imo).

Chicago III had MT as a special guest but the band played badly (imo again).

Yes definitely the best sounding recording so far, it's available as a direct link in the 2012/2013 Tour Archive -> [www.iorr.org] with all the other recordings available so far and that means everything except Mogador, Echoplex, TOR/2 and TOR/2 is certainly coming soon!

Yeah, they are although it's been re-edited.

Some see the 2012 shows, including the O2s as a different tour, others see it as part of the 50 and counting shows, a prelude, so to speak to the 2013 shows.

Not to nitpick here, but the Chicago 3 sounds a bit compressed to my ears.

Another vote for Chicago 6/3...great performance and a ballsy sound you don't get on most boots....

Chi III displays a very tired band imo...
