It seems like I have to repeat this every month or so...

Please do NOT use large or dominating graphics in signatures, i.e. the part of the post that is repeated every time you post. They are usually nice but take up space and also make it harder to read in many cases. Also please do never use animated graphics.

PS. Posting real images for information purposes are ok. Just remember that people do still have slow internet connection many places. The value of the image should be greater than the overhead in loading.

You should take a look at your real message and then take a look at the signature. What is catching the eye? If the signature is bigger than the message itself, excluding the signature, then you are flashing your ego. That is my personal point.

I thought thread this was going to be about the graphics to the album cover IORR...one of my least favorite covers from the Stones. The concept was nice (hero-worshipping the Stones), but it's outdated, airbrush look has the appearance of an amatuer artist, even though I realize the artist was well-known at the time. I don't know his name, but hopefully he moved away from the air-brush, it looks like paint-by-numbers...childish.

And to those who like to post giant pictures next to their posts...enough is enough!!!
It's annoying and distracting!!!
