Well after hearing Keith "singing" BTMMR in 2003, Madison I believe it was, I have but one thing to say; no more Keith-songs onstage. Please, its just dreadful. He sounds like braindead drunk and its sad. I love Thief in the night on record, it really works and it feels like Keith, and he should sing a song like that in a club or something but no rockers and never at the big gigs. Hope he reads this.

I have never seen a Stones concert... Now I saw the dvd
from 2003 tour; and I´d be pleased by getting a break in seeing
a 62-63 y o singer wavin his hands growling "yo! yo!" at the stage edge
most of the evening. Richards is stronger on record than stage nowadays.

Yes he is stronger on record! And I would welcome a break form Micks stage persona but I dont think the answer is Keith trying to do sing rockers when the result is awful. The have to change the whole show I think. Interesting to see how we at the forum critize the Stones when the journalists should do that. They don't cause they know they aint getting interviews if they write about Keiths voice or his stageact.

Keith can put as many songs on this album as he wants and it will be just fine with me. He is authenic and not trendy. Long live Keith Richards.

I don't care how many Keith songs are on the album, just as long as they choose the best songs - period.

And I like Keith singing soulful country ballads. HCIS and TITN were highlights of BTB.

I like Keith's songs for the most part. One of my fav songs from all time is ''Yap Yap'' from one of his solo albums. But, ''Sleep Tonight'', ''Can't Be Seen'', ''How Can I Stop'', and my personal fav, ''Before They Make Me Run'' all rank pretty high with me as well. I also like Mick's solo work. He'll never be allowed to perform ''Visions of Paradise'' live with the Stones, but a girl can always dream...

It depends on the number of songs on the new album. Up to 12 songs Keith will sing two - if there will be more Keith will sing probably 3.

That's a very good question.

I'd say two Keef songs. Well, that's what I hope for. A country ballad would be nice. A rocker too of course. I'd like him to do a rocker and a countryballad. But the rocker comes first (We haven't had a rocker since "Can't Be Seen" have we)? The country ballad could be replaced with something like "Losing My Touch", which I think is one of the best Keith songs for a very long time. Although his songs often gets looked upon as fillers, I'd still say that he keeps a very high standard. It's always good. He hasn't had much output in many years now. Whenever he makes something it's always top-notch though.

The 3rd lead vocalist in the Stones was Bill Wyman, wasn't he? So it's no wonder that Ron Wood hasn't sung a song with them whilst Bill was on board, because when you've got a voice as strong as Mick in the band, it's no use having 4 lead vocalists. Bill's replacement Darryl Jones is always credited just as a sideman, so he won't be 3rd lead vocalist. Now that Ron hasn't sung for so long, it's highly unlikely that he will be allowed to do so, though I think it would be nice. But I would prefer a Wood-penned instrumental to that.
