Quite frankly I'd just as soon buy a few I really like
then swap and burn, build a collection that way,
on cdr. Back up on MP3. Is ridiculous paying so
much for the silver discs.

It depends on what you consider 'so much'....
Everybody his own way of collecting!

What do you consider
reasonable Potted Shrimp?
And why is it so important
to have the silver discs?
Just want to know............

It's not important for the quality of the music (maybe), but for my own personal feelings regarding 'a serious collection'. About a reasonable price: If there is a disc that I really want because it has good music on it / it's important in the Stones history / it's a rare label, then I'm glad to pay big money. E.g. I bought Unknown dreams (OBR) a long time ago. It had a copy number (I think I have number 006 of 100 copies) and was in perfect condition. That was the last OBR I needed to complete my collection from that label. So I was willing to pay lots more than for any other rare bootleg.

Well a few years ago I sold my "Mixed Emotions" (L.A.89) to a guy who REALLY wanted it and I got roughly 200$ for it. Was it too much? Sure it was! The show is lame, VGP has re-released this night slightly more complete, the great pics on front and back cover were all taken from the official 1989 Tour brochure. PLus I suspect this gig will be available on DVD soon...
Who offered this large amount? He did, not me... Was he satisfied? Yes he was!
So where is the problem?
