Concerning Keith really wanting to bring that album on the road it might have been an interesting setlist...lots of undercover? which songs of the album?
another warhorse section, we´re still BEFORE the Vegas years...

Never thought about it before I saw the promo video, but if they made the cover so colorful so that it would pop out on the shelves, why did they cover it with red cellophane to render it black and white? ha ha

Oversized pastel suits, large hair, a lot of makeup. Mick with a growling but intact voice, Keith with his chops intact. A lot of coke. No Vegas concept, still rock and roll! I kind of miss it!

it was a great, albeit short tour. last time both ronnie and keith both had their full complement of chops. end of an era. sorry it seems most of you missed it.

Dunno about the tour, but Mick's hair would have probably looked like this:

One gig, but the circumstances could have been more joyous...

I think a tour would have looked ridiculous without Mick.

I have always wondered about this and I believe there have been multiple posts over the years speculating about the same thing. I suspect it would have been DW songs and rough versions of warhorses, as they were not happy with the response they got from Undercover and might have ignored those tunes. I think the Stones not touring after those two albums kept them from a sad sort of embarrassing ending. We got the Vegas era maybe, but at least we got an era.

Wasn't Undercover mostly praised by the reviewers round the world at the time?

Dandelion, I seem to recall mixed reviews. I loved Undercover, but remember reading some criticism... and then Mick dismissed it later on as "ok". It did not sell poorly, but it didn't do nearly as well as Tattoo You, so I think the band, or Mick anyway, did not see it as much of a success. Of course, we're talking 30 years ago, so my memory could be slightly off about this!

A quick search yields mostly positive reviews indeed of Undercover. Well. Forget what I said about that in relation to a DW tour then.
