Absolutely right. Months ago, I hear this song on my local radio station. I'm like "geez, this is really good. Serious old school rock." Turns out to be Tom Keifer. I knew he was in Cinderella, but they weren't a band I ever listened to. So its a huge shock to me hearing such a great song. I have the album but have yet to listen to the rest of it. But based on the single, Solid Ground, I totally agree. Kick ass rock music with an old tinge that I don't hear from very many bands these days. You can tell he's legit. I couldn't have been more surprised when I found out who it was. I definitely think Solid Ground is Stonesish. Now I wish I had seen Tom live a few months ago.
I've heard Night Songs is very good too. When I told my friend about Keifer, he wasn't that shocked, saying "yeah, Cinderella is very good". Not that I don't believe him, but I find it odd if thats the case why he's never played me one song by them yet we've gone through countless other similar bands over the years. I'll take a listen. Thanks for the suggestions.Quote

the only cinderella album i'd recommend to you is HEARTBREAK STATION. sounds a lot like this solo album but i little heavier in spot. check out the songs "one for rock n roll", "sick for the sure", "love's got me doin time" and "make your own way".

OK, I gave it a listen:
Solid Ground is a poor cousin of Every Picture Tells A Story!
The Flower Song is Rod again, in a too radio-friendly way for my likings.
Welcome To My Mind is a fresh take on psychedelia.
The Way Life Goes is bluesy. However, the sound is the opposite of authentic.
Babylon sounds like a Georgia Satellites-outtake.
The rest sounds like low-quality poodle rock from the 80s to me...

Are Cinderella still around? I saw them in 88 when they opened for AC/DC at BC Place in Vancouver. Bought their first 2 CD's. One thing I remember is the guitarist and bass player swinging their guitars around their necks in unison. Remember seeing Steve Vai do the same thing.

Tesla is a band my friends and I love. All their albums are great and they are still going strong with nearly all the original members. I know they aren't for anyone, but boy they are one of my personal favorites. I will admit I did always associate Cinderella with Warrant and those bands (for some reason I thought they were the ones that did Sister Christian), but they sound pretty great from what I've heard. Just had to acknowledge the shoutout for Tesla!

Didn't really move me..When I want to listen to some real rock and roll I put on the Diamond Dogs or Quireboys. 2 bands you should really check out. Any of Izzy Stradlins solo albums are also worth a listen especially with the Ju Ju Hounds

my opinion - awful stuff. if this is the music he believes in he should have been doing it all along. Just jumping on a current bandwagon of "rootsy rock'n roll". Sounds very much like that moron from Jersey B Jovi.
