So, what are y'all listening to? Last Night I listened to...

Tonight, I've got on "The Rolling Stones, London, New York, Los Angeles"
Mostly Ed Sullivan shows, 1964-1967, Ready, Steady, Go 1966, Santa Monica Civic Auditorium 1964.

AROUND and AROUND, full of Spunk. Poor Ed can't get a word in edgewise, because mostly, the girls winking smiley "Nooooooooooo, my little............" he says. TIOMS, my, my, my, gooooood. TLT, LRR, (Mick is really good) the guitars, right on. I hope the new album is like this. There are some of the same songs I listened to last night on the "Brian Jones And His Rolling Stones, 'Still I'm Gonna to Miss You" album, are here, just different versions. There's 25 tracks on this one though. Wish we could get that number of tracks again on an album.
Wish, wish.

Mick's rendition of ENSTL is interesting. (ICGN)S, is good as usual. ATGB, wish Marianne and Mick would do this one together, probably no chance though.
19th NBD, PIB, (2X's) Lady Jane, (someone here expressed an interest in having this one played next tour, that would be great). HYSYMB, RT, (of course) LSTNT, UMT, (a little saturated with this one, but the boys always include this in a Tour, it seems) IAW, PIB, (again) WGAGTG, (more than OK) THSMLI, (always nice to hear) (ICGN)S,(2X's); AAA, (2x's) OFF THE HOOK, (they need to add songs like this once in awhile to the shows, TIOMS, (2 X's), IAON, IAR and then the Finale

Some tracks are repeated, but from different dates, makes for a lovely night.

Try it. winking smiley

----------------
Last nights fare:

In Anticipation of the NEW ALBUM that is reported to follow the Early Years...

I find myself listening to, "Brian Jones And His Rolling Stones, 'Still I'm Gonna to Miss You," album, (Vinyl Gang). (Live Paris, L'Olympia, 1965-1967, USA Shindig, 1965. (I remember that one). The Shindig show was a few weeks before we moved to Colorado Springs. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
Memories....

Lot's of tracks, on this one too. 19 total. Moves fast, great energy. From "ENSTL," to "TLT" (2 X's) and later "UMT," followed by "RT," great! Ah, there's Brian, (RT) with one of his many instruments, a virtual genius, even if he did wing it sometimes. "Little Red Rooster," and "Play With Fire." I love it. (ICGN)S, (2X's). I love them all, fabulous

Take a listen, if ya have this one. It'll brighten your night. Have a bit o' wine, candles, beer, whatever, lay back and enjoy.

BRING IT ON BOYS, Can't wait for the new tunes.

HMMY, (Howlin' Wolf, was super too).

All the track are good on this one.

I've been making an MP3 disc,
6 to 8 hours of Stones from
A to Z, so includes a little
bit of everything, including
best of the alts. Other than that
transfering my Stones boots to MP3
too, so I have back up files.
Guess the answer would be
Stones Stones Stones!

I know what I would love to listen to. It's a 78 show called Garden State 78, from New Jersey. Great show. I have a Mac, how do I find this show and download it, or buy it.
Here are some of Mick's lines from the show.
"I don't know how much you guy's had to pay for your ticket's but I didn't have to pay much. Oh well, @#$%& it."
"We are going to play a country tune, New Jersey's in the Country aint' it?"
"I learned this song from Rod Stewart many years ago. Back when I was still in Kindargten."

Is this guy a joker or what?

Right now I am a Janis Joplin kick... so I am listening to PEARL. I love Janis. So much pain in the voice...great horns and rythm section. I dont know if anyone likes her. But if you get a chance listen to the song MOVE OVER.. I get a LIVE WITH ME feel to it. Could the Stones cover a song of hers? IF so which one PLUS do you think Chuck could really play a HAMMOND?

Goin' a bit more mainstream now:

I just listened to Appetite for Destruction. I'm not a big Guns N' Roses fan, but I just looked at my cd-collection and noticed: now, it's been ages since I last heard that one.

Also noticed: Izzy Stradlin is a fantastic rhythm guitar player. He was always my favorite band member.
