Down to 22 Songs!!!
Date: May 9, 2013 22:58

Dropped Doom and Gloom but did not add another.

Was this because they took too long on other songs and maybe running short of time?

I want 23 songs!

I want another song besides Miss You.

And I want more MT

For $622 I demand it!

Seems scheduled so from the beginning on:

Maybe to avoid the curfew.

Yeah, curfew makes sense... but even if they're only doing 22 songs now, it's still a killer set.

But if you gotta drop one (and it can't be SMU or Miss You) drop One More Shot.

Stop complaining.
We Europeans have never been spoiled with long set lists.
21 songs were usual on the Bridges to Babylon and No Security tours,
19 songs were the norm for arena and stadium shows on the Licks tour.
Only one show in Europe had more than 20 songs on the Bigger Bang tour.
At their age I think a set of 22 songs is impressive.

Anything else you would like to demand? Perhaps your own private bathroom for when you have to take a leak? Perhaps a personal chef like Gordon Ramsay to cook food for you throughout the show? Perhaps a butler to go grab beer for you so you don't have to leave your seat? Please list all your demands so The Stones can hurry up and fulfill them all for you.

Exactly!! 22/23 is the longest average set they've done in a while.

For these kinds of prices that isn't really all that unreasonable to ask.

If they played only songs from '63 till '65 they could play at least 44 songs......so maybe they did a few 8 minutes songs

These concerts are long, stop looking for problems when there are none. They are playing great.

These concerts are long? Bullshit. For the Stones ticket price(s), a close to three hour (or longer on a good day) show like Springsteen does is what we should be getting. Springsteen and the E-Street Band ain't that much younger than the Stones. And, for that matter, McCartney is a contemporary of the Stones age wise and look at how many songs he does for his show. So, for the money, y'all, we all, are paying, the Stones should be providing a lot more "Satisfaction" for them bucks they're raking in.

I remember years ago when there were complaints about the number of songs dropping someone had the audacity to say that Midnight Rambler is so good it should count as 2 songs!

Playing a lot of songs that only last about 2/3 minutes it's no problem to play some more in a 2/3 hour show

Great songs though.......

As one who has seen both Paul and the Stones, I can say they are both great. I defend McCartney as a fantastic concert experience. He truly gives it his all and delivers the goods.

You paid $28.27 per song. Another song would have only cut that to $27.04.

I don't mind it, 22 songs is plenty and I saw Doom & Gloom last December in Brooklyn. I absolutely love McCartney as well and yes it's a great value to get 3 hours of music during his shows, but personally I find that too long to the point of getting bored at some time during such a show even though I love the songs. I even had tickets for a McCartney show this summer but decided to get rid of them after thinking about seeing him again for three hours. Now if the Stones would vary their setlists a bit more I could see them playing 2 1/2 hours, but that is clearly not going to happen.

The Rolling Stones deliver full satisfaction with quality shows.

That counts.

Thanks for posting McCartney...perfect comparison. If there are Stones spies reading our posts, maybe they'll remind the band that their faithful followers NOTICE these things...34 songs next to 22----just sayin...

Re: Down to 22 Songs!!!

I really do not need 33 songs. But if my memory is correct this is a pattern from the last few tours. And seems they actually dropped several as the tour went on. During the last few tours. Just keep it at 23 please! Do not get back to 18. Again for the price I paid. They now owe me a show worth $622.
