A solid and groovy track, but it is Jagger only.

doom and gloom is a lot better than many expected.

would be up there with the best if it had come out in the early 70,s.

hopefully more to come.

If it had come out in the early 70s they would have been accused of ripping ZZ Top. Like they were in 2012.

I still don't get tired listen to Doom and Gloom.

Surprisingly aged very well.

Great classic Rolling Stones rocker one of their best in decades IMO.

My teenage children and their friends are big fan of DG!

(To tell the truth I also like very much One More Shot)

Well done Stones.

I love D&G too. I think the biggest problem the Stones, and all surving artists of their era, is that there is no real radio market for their new music.

Where do you play it? Too new for the classic rock stations. Doesn't really fit on the top 40 stations.

If there are any remaining straight up rock stations that play all genre's of rock from the 60's thru current, perhaps. But those stations are few and far in between nowadays. Rock n Roll has become so fragmented, many stations don't cover it all any more.

93.3 WMMR in Philly is one of the few that truly still covers all rock. You might hear Monkey Man or Doom and Gloom in a set with Guns N Roses, Alabama Shakes and Genesis.

Their greatest song in decades was It Won't Take Long.

A close second: She Saw Me Coming.

Hmm. I hope Pierre or who ever it is seen behind Charlie is tuning, not playing....

I like Doom and Gloom very much. It is to be played loud!! And this proves that Jagger is capable to make the open G tuning sound different to the sound Keith seems to fall back to when making songs. When I first heard One more Shot I thought it was a way to easy way to make a new song. The same guitar sound from Keith. The same way to play open G tunings as in a lot of Keiths songs. I was bored...(Now, after heard the song about 40 times, I actually like the song. It is the sound of Keith. But it is not as innovative as Doom and Gloom. It is what you expect to hear from Keith..).

Doom and Gloom I think is Jaggers song. One more Shot must be Keiths contribution to the new songs. Both good, but Doom and Gloom is a very good song that I hope to hear at Hyde Park.

FFS, the Rolling Stones were covering Slim Harpo, who ZZ Top derived their entire oeuvre from, while Billy Gibbons was in short pants. Jagger's vocal in Doom and Gloom is his sharpest in years. One More Shot is a slightly undercooked but groovy Winos type song with a Jagger vocal. Overall a pretty good effort. I listen to both songs more than anything off Bigger Bang and they are better than anything on the previous two albums save maybe You Don't Have to Mean it, which is basically a Keith solo tune. They're like the first two legit additions to the Stones catalogue this century.

Looks like Bill's bass? He came onstage after One More Shot and Doom and Gloom

the reception was certainly not impressive. it peaked at #30 in the USA, not in the hot 100, but in the 'rock songs' category.

It's a "killer" song! I love One More Shot also. Just eight tracks from that last great album that will send them out in a blaze of glory!

That's hardly a surprise though...and it isn't just the Stones now.

I was listening to D&G on the way home a couple of days ago and the song kicks ass. I love the riff and Mick is great.
