Cold Turkey is a fantastic song....
My favorite version is the live on on Sometime in NYC, live from 1970 Lyceum Ballroom: Billy Preston, Keith Moon, Harrison, Bobby Keys, Klaus Voorman, Clapton, Delaney and Bonnie, Jim Price. Heavy...

Joseph Beuys/Coyote

Edit by Wyatt W. "Let's talk of a system that transforms all the social organisms into a work of art, in which the entire process of work is included... something in which the principle of production and consumption takes on a form of quality. It's a Gigantic project." - Joseph Beuys

Well there is a slight difference...Yoko did bring a new dimension to Johns music...a totally new dimension...Chuck is just playing piano with the Rolling Stones...

Here's a more mainstream Yoko for them who likes that kind of music (just as a contrast for the more deeper stuff that's presented here)..

This is good documentary, anyway.

That's a good one.

Here's something eh, mainstream from Yoko too - just for the contrast for the deeper stuff, hahahah..."Death Of Samantha" is a nice little, bluesy pop song. Song written by Yoko herself, and released on her third solo album called "Approximately Infinite Universe" - released on 8 January 1973 in United States and 16 February 1973 in England. Recorded in autumn 1972 with John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band, it's more conservative, or "mainstream"..eh cohesive album. It represents a departure from the deeper experimental conseptual avant garde towards a more normal, - conventional - rock sound.

"the death of samantha" (1972)
Lyrics and music by Yoko Ono (- by the way, as far as I know, Marianne Faithfull, or say Linda McCartney, or Anita Pallenberg never wrote their own music...so Yoko can't be without any talent, now can she ? )

Produced by Yoko Ono and John Lennon
Arrangement: Yoko Ono
String orchestration: Ron Frangipane
Vocals, piano: Yoko Ono
Saxophone, flute, clarinet: Stan Bronstein
Drums, percussion: Richard Frank Jr
Castanet: Daria Price
Bass, Trumpet: Gary Van Scyoc
Piano, organ, harmonium, trumpet: Adam Ippolito
Guitar: Wayne Gabriel
Guitar and background vocals: Joel Nohnn (John Lennon)

I don't think she can completely be dismissed as an influence on John Lennon (at the very least). Clearly in terms of support she has some who do and a probably a whole lot that don't.

Liking or not liking her (or her music or her 'art') is a different matter. I've never been a fan.

I'll give her that her role in the Beatles story (as Lennon's companion) during the 1968-1970 period provided some entertaining drama to the Beatles (and at least partly inspired some Beatles songs such as "Revolution 9," "Ballad of John & Yoko," "Don't Let Me Down," "I want You," and perhaps a couple of others such as "Get Back").

It pains me to think of the number of really talented people out there who never get a lucky break whilst this talentless person can make poor rubbish like this because of who she is.

If she wasn't married to Lennon this would never have been made.

Julian pulls no punches about Yoko.

@ 7.00

In November 2011, Julian felt snubbed by everyone related to the Beatles. Not just Yoko - he hated everyone ! He felt excluded from every Beatles releated event including Paul Mccartney's wedding !!! And he used his Facebook page to post his rage:

"Wow... Snubbed at Macca’s wedding, snubbed at the anniversary of LOVE in Vegas! Snubbed at Macca’s wedding reception in NYC... Snubbed at George Harrison’s film premiere... What have I done to be ignored in such a way? I was not invited to ANY of these events... I thought we had a relationship ... Obviously not... Gimme some truth... Maybe now it’s time to tell the Truth... I & My Mother will NOT be eradicated from history... How dare they

- Now, if Julian really wants to be the centre of attention at Paul McCartney's wedding or at George Harrison's film premiere, then maybe it's actually Julian and not Yoko who is attention seeker here.

You really reckon Julian is the problem here?

Whatever.

Can you imagine having to BUY back the letters you had wrote to your Dad?

Julian doesn't want to be the centre of attention, he would just like some simple courtesy (and some tea).

Macca said the wedding thing was a misunderstanding, he missed a few other friends as well.

If you were in Julian's position wouldn't you feel rather hurt?

This is a guy who lost his father early and in a tragic way so re the alleged snubs it would tend to make him or anyone else in a similar situation feel sad and disconnected.

What came through on that lengthy video above was that he is a down-to-earth English lad just trying to express himself and do the best he can.

His mother and father can be proud of him...don't you think?

Yes. You definitely are.

Could you imagine having to live off her record sales royalty checks! I pitty the company or corporation who owns her recording catalog. Oh, Thats Right! She owns her OWN catalog because no one else in their right MIND would WANT to own it.
