Show Woody some respect..

I'm sick of the Taylor/Wood arguments.. It's been going on for 40 years now and is silly. They both are great, Taylor quit or he'd be dead. Glad to see them both together, this shouldn't be a contest. Fact is when the Stones started changing their sound "Some Girls" stands the test of time over Taylor's later albums. Rod and Mick wouldn't feud over a second rate musician..

It's nice to see Woody being so welcoming to get Mick T back into the fold.

I was walking, after having gave a museum tour, through town, and I was listening to LA Friday 1975. Woody was the perfect replacement for Mick Taylor.

I agree. He is by far the most underrated guitarist in rocknroll history. In many ways I like him for the same reason I like Keith... It is not at all about technical ability. Keith and Ronnie simply play guitar the way I want to hear it. When the two of them are both 'on', they are better than any other two guitarists on the planet, including Keef/Taylor.

Of course, he misses having another guitar player onstage.

My favorite concert moment for Wood is one where he did not play. I was seeing Stevie Ray Vaughn at the NY Pier Concert Series and there was Wood in the wings with his guitar on. He stood there agitated until a roadie lit his smoke. Stevie burst into a flaming Voodoo Child and Wood turned around and left..

I LOVE THE ROLLING STONES

They are both great musicians, and like ALL musicians have respect for each other,
there is nothing they like better than to PLAY together. Thats the way it's been
for all musicians for decades, jazz/rock/country/blues
So could people stop useing this forum for constant whineing and knocking the
STONES for one reason or another drinking smiley

He's just relieved Jagger didn't have to start handling the lead.

Woody has my respect. Nobody is Brian, but Woody gives us the best double rhythm opportunity, ala Jones/Richards. Also, Woody has always known how to handle being in a band at that level.
