Maybe the Stones ought to consider having Rod Stewart or Paul McCartney as a special guest at one of their shows. While they are both far from the more mythical ideal guests (who would those be really? Is there any consensus? I don't think so), the Stones catalogue is so extensive and varied at this point, they could work something out if everyone is into it I'm sure. I would love to see Van Morrison or Neil Young myself.
I think Chris Farlowe would have handled this better and Working in the Coalmine too.

In Rod's book, he mentions that he - like Keith - likes to come into the studio with very little (a riff or chorus), then let the band develop the song.
Have Rod and Keith ever done any studio recording together? They don't seem to be close.

How is it that he hates Rod but vacationed with him and Ronnie a few years ago? Is there any proof that any one has like something from Life? Otherwise, I find it hard to believe that he would vacation with someone he hates.

Keith and Rod never hit it off, especially after Ronnie quit the Faces for the Stones. I remember an interview Rod gave where he said Keith was a fake and the bottles of Jack Daniels which Keith had on stage were coloured water!
