Almost immedeiately, the ticketfly link said First Unitarian Church, not Echoplex. I told my friend who also bought a ticket and was wondering if they were ever going to notify me of the change. The email came a few hours later. Still look a bit longer before it occurred to me and my bones started trembling so hard I knew I had to be right.

I don't even know how to answer this! Thankfully Blood Red Shoes, who provided a much needed distraction over missing the club gig.

David Bowie/Cheap Trick/The Humpers...old bands. However, Cheap Trick bores the ever living @#$%& out of me now and I don't even know why.

New bands... mostly local. I don't have the hip inside track to all the best new music around the world, I just cruise club listings and sample the bands playing there.

I will mention Sean Wheeler & Zander Schloss, an amazing duo. Zander actually jammed with Mick Taylor at a motel owned by Alan Dunn in the desert a year and a half ago.

This is probably a complete information overload but my live music history has been extensively documented.

James Woods tweeting yesterday after the Stones arrived at a neighboring soundstage:

- @kevinpollak the Stones are playing as I tweet this on the stage here at the lot.

- @kevinpollak they don't want anybody seeing the set

- Not telling which song because to ruin surprises is not cool...

- @kevinpollak They just wrapped us right now and the Stones' cars all just pulled up. We are all milling about like total fans...

- @kevinpollak we sent a note to Stones' security telling the Stones not to try to sneak on our stage to watch us filming LOL

Anyone think they are in the same studios complex ?

They are not. Soundstage for production rehearsals is at a much larger TV and film facility.

Good old James Wood is keeping us informed.

He must be a good guy,being a Rolling Stones fan.

It doesn't matter, they're using playback to work out lighting. No actual playing is going on. They're spending their evenings at their hotel in LA.

Today's the last day of rehearsal, I think I know most of the songs by now! Can't wait for Friday, Mick #Stones50

In '97 I was going to the second Stones show at Dodger's Stadium. The night before I was at dinner at a place in West Hollywood and James Wood was at a table right next to us with some people. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a massive tongue on the back. I think he was going to that night's show....I'm pretty sure the show's were back to back nights.

Anyway, he's obviously a diehard. I wonder who he is on IORR?!

In between LA rehearsals I got to hang with my pal @rodstewart ~ we did a great interview for Arena TV special ~

I was in college in '85, girl a couple doors down in the dorms hated the Stones. She was a big Howard Jones fan. Somehow Emotional Rescue came up. She says, "Oh, I LOVE that song!" I said, "That's the Stones!". She didn't believe me, so I had to put it on the turntable. So I've learned not to hate on it, and it has grown on me over time. If they take the time to really flesh it out and get a little creative with it, it could sound really good live.

Thanks for sharing, great article, well written by someone who knows his Stones stuff (almost as well as we do...IWBYMan was played at both London shows and there was no concert with Mick Taylor in Paris last year unfortunately). And yes, nice to see that jacket there ;-)
