hey you guys - I know a great place in Oakland (Disco Volante) that's 2 BART stops from Oracle. In fact, the owner told me if we can get enough people, we might get the whole place to ourselves. Someone directed me to an entire thread about Oakland, so I posted photos of the joint there. What do you think?

I know it's still early L.A. time but I'm in Spain and just interested if any rehearsals today?
Did Mick T make an appearance anywhere in L.A.today.?

Any news about what's happening at The Joint tonight or other L.A. hotspots for seeing and hearing Stones related stuff ?

Hopefully something will be happening this weekend,(sightings and pics etc.) with The Rolling Stones on tour next week.
That sounds pretty close now,(apart from the 5 gigs before Christmas),that our lads have been on tour since 2007.

Keith promised Waddy years ago that whenever he's in LA he'd go to the joint and jam with him. It's happened a few times over the years, so chances are he's going to be there tonight. We'll have to wait and see.....

Bernard was at Waddy's show at The Joint last Saturday, but Keith wasn't. And Blondie's not part of the current Stones touring ensemble.

Some IORR locals will be there, so if Keith does show they'll tell.

No. Not this rehearsal. I've been inside this stage and I don't think they have wooden floors. Also, they are all wearing headphones whioch leads one to believe it is a recording studio. Also, you can see Don Was sitting on the floor in the middl eof it.

I would say no.

I was not quite 14, this song was played on WCOZ and WBCN ad nauseum in Massachusetts. It was my first real exposure and I held it against them for an extremely long time. I actually like it now...in very small dosages. " I will be your knight in shining armor..." Gag.

If nothing else, the falsetto opportunities between ER and Worried About You, considering Mick Jagger can still bring it, should allow us to see both of these songs live this time around, probably not in the same night, but maybe in Oakland just once, along with Moonlight Mile, as that sounded pretty good at Oracle during No Security....

That would be cool.

The rehearsal question, ahem, trying to stay on thread, will be which one will they play at the club gig.

I was hoping to have something a bit more indepth for the final night but I am already thinking about the next gig which is why I don't write many reviews even though I am going out constantly. Or maybe I am not motivated enough to write about paying $5 to see the Itchy Pissholes with 6 other people for 67th time even though they are great every time.

It's going to be simple tonight but every good story has an epilogue, and one is forthcoming with other details, like Mick Jagger coming to the gate and signing for 5 us on Tuesday.

Mick's bodyguard did come out and hand the guy next to me a handful of Mick Jagger Grrrtar picks to pass out so I have another souvenir.

Before Mick arrived we can hear some of Emotional Rescue.

After Mick's arrival I heard the mystery song again though it's entirely possible it's something Keith is singing. No one is recognizing it.

Mick Jagger rolled down the window and signed, he got totally mobbed, since I already had mine, I had stepped back. Heard breaking glass and the car pulled away. Someone else got him at the stoplight.

Loadout commenced even before I left the site at 7:55pm

What an amazing week, I am going to be out and about all day, most likely a show I bought tickets for several months ago. I will post the details of the meeting and a few other details that may have been eclipsed by the main priority of getting down the setlist.
