Big disappointment that it's Wednesday and still no sign of Mick Taylor.
Still hoping he has a bigger role in this tour than December,but not looking good.
Hope I'm wrong.

So far they have rehearsed eight Exile tracks - not just the usual suspects like Tumbling Dice and Happy, but RTJ, ADTL, SAL, Rocks Off, SV, Loving Cup. Maybe we are going to see an Exile mini-set (crosses fingers). But personally I could live without another soul cover spot, whether it's Imagination or Grapevine.

Many thanks to our intrepid reporters and especially the sound recordists - Keith and Charlie running through Tumbling Dice among the lorries and aircraft sounds just great.

Is that man really turning 70 this summer?

having him play longer than just a song or two would require paying him more money.

take a moment and reflect on everything you know about the stones and money.... and the stones and treatment of their second guitar players... (ron wood didn't get an equal stake in the band until what... 15 years after he had joined?)

he'll play enough (1-2 songs) for them to use him as a lure to help sell tickets
and no more.

In three recent interviews Keith made happy talk about about how great it will be to have three guitars up on stage. To better emulate all the guitars used (double tracked etc) on most Stones cuts. But going by the rehearsal setlists and no Mick Taylor seen yet.... It does not look good for MickT to have a larger role onstage than one or two tunes. MickT is going to get screwed again.

I reckon Mick T will be there today,but May 3rd is not far away,and he hasn't been there from the start.

Rehearsals for the tour are going great ~ I play air guitar in my breaks...

Very true, interesting to note that Keith's happy talk strung Bill along up until Nov as well.

On Fallon, Keith went out of his way to talk about the "layers" of guitars on the recordings and how it will be interesting to have Taylor do it with them live. Sure sounded like a plan for 3 guitars for the show but maybe I misundersood. Three guitars can get complicated and it's easy to trip over one another if the dynamics are wrong. So, yes, the absence of Taylor up to this point at rehearsing would seem to mean that his role will be limited. Even if he's only playing 2 songs {e.g. "Sway" and "Knockin'"}, I would have thought he'd need time to find his groove with the others. We shall soon see.

That;s one of Keith's recent talking points. Besides Fallon, he also mentioned it in several print interviews.

Well, that's Keith these days (and for a while really...when was the last time he called the shots, Nellcote and then the Dirty Work sessions?) all talk and no action...either because he doesn't really care or because he doesn't have a lot to say about how things go down.

I know Waddy Wachtell had dropped in on rehearsals and looked on his website.

He was pretty instrumental in how most of ER and Undercover turned out to be as well.

I'm pretty sure he was up till B2B anyway.

So two Z's on Ronnie's rack of guitars. My guess is one greco z and 1 Tony z. Acoustic, strategy far far right But what is the metal looking guitar second from right going from Ronnie's right side? It looks metal but with a fender head stock, No??

The blues number should be Stop Breaking Down featuring Taylor.

The others should be All Down the Line, Time Waits for No One, Moonlight Mile and Midnight Rambler.

My money goes on Ventilator Blues...it's a Taylor riff, it is slow and therefore will give Jagger a breather, and it's a fantastic blues song. Played live with three guitars it has the potential to be epic!
