Rolling Stone Quotes
Date: February 14, 2005 23:53

I've come across a few "Stone" quotes and thought I'd list them here. A few are tasteless. I'm sure there are lots more good/bad Stone Quotes out there.

You don't walk out of the Stones. They carry you out.

Keith Richards

I've never had a problem with drugs; I've had problems with the police.

Keith Richards

I wear a Nazi uniform to show I'm anti-Nazi.

Brian Jones

For the Stones, bad news is good news.

Andrew Oldham

Fantastic. Fantastic. That's be a real man's car. Can you just imagine the looks on people's faces when you roll up somewhere in a Nazi staff car?

Anita Pallenberg, on Keith's Mercedes

There's got to be some better ones out there.

I love the Stones but am afraid in this
department they don't have much depth.
Lack Lennon's edge, Dylans many levels
of meaning. It's really their music
that speaks loudest; their medium is
the message.

I think most of Keiths quotes are great, but he keeps on repeating them that they became boring.

Nicky Hopkins we've lost, Jimmy Miller we've lost, but Mick Taylor is still alive and kicking wearing a big fat suit!

Interviewer: Keith, why did you name the album "Some Girls"?

Keith: Because we couldn't remember their @#$%& names.

well I like Keith quotes but it´s time to rehab Mick a little bit:

Greece, an Athen´s Hotel, 1967 - interviewer:

"what do you know about Shakespeare?"

Mick Jagger:

"What do you know about Homer?.."

"Tonight it's Halloween for you,
but for me, evernight is Halloween!"

-KR at Staples Arena, LA, Ca. 10/31/03

...his eyes were redder than my Santa Claus outfit....

Read the start of each chapter of "Jagger, Unauthorized" by Christopher Andersen, 1993, Delacorte Press, NY, NY for some real good laughs.

Ya know, this is what really sets the Stones out from the rest. The humor!

Ever if we recorded a tiolet being flushed, it still would sell (Keith)

Somebody once asked me: 'Who do you think you are!' I don't know, I said, I don't think............. (Keith)

Briljant!!!

Dunno how collectable any of this is,
but if you enjoy, so be it.

My favourite Keith quotes. Both from the SARS concert.

''Don't forget the ships!!!''

~ To Mick when he was introducing the band and thanking all the nurses etc at the SARS concert in Toronto.

''We're all here for weird reasons.''

~ Keith Richards, SARS concert, Toronto, 2003.

How about:

''basically, we're hitting the 'burgs''.
~ Keith Richards at the Licks NYC News Conference after Mick read off a list of cities to be played in Germany...

GW: That's right, I forgot about those SARS quotes. I was there too.

How about "It's great to be here...it's great to be anywhere." I think I've heard that Keithism TOO many times. I hope he doesn't resurrect it for the next tour.

Yeah that was kinda touching,
in a Keith sort of way. He has
quite a history here.

What do you mean, Richard, Keith says this every tour, so much so, I've seen the backup band mimicing him when he says it.

"It's great to be here...it's great to be anywhere, (Keith laughing)."

Not very original
that quote. Maybe
he's running out
of stuff to say?
