Just talked to Ticketmaster again. Lady said that you can only buy in pairs of two but the eight ticket limit is still in effect. There is no limit regarding the offer other than the general on sale limit.

I don't see how a person could scalp the tickets without knowing the location of the seats prior. I suppose you could but, I don't think I myself would make that deal for a buyer's perspective. People willing to pay a premium want to know where they are going to be prior to purchase. I imagine that any pricing dispute going into the venue would result in voided tickets so I think the way they have done it is fantastic.

The limit above is specifically referring to the Chicago shows but, I would guess that it is true of all of the shows.

Response from an inquiry sent to customer_support@ticketmaster.com:

Via Email (Ashley_ZWS527) 04/11/2013 02:30 PM

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any confusion between the offer and the posted ticket limit.

Due to the strict anti-scalping measures the promoter is implementing, the tickets for this particular offer will only be sold in pairs, and limited to two per household. You and your guest will need to arrive at the arena together to pick these tickets up, and will be escorted inside upon arrival.

We hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, just reply to this email or visit Ticketmaster.com, or RollingStones.com/tickets

Sincerely,
Ashley

What show is this for? This is getting extremely frustrating because it seems that everyone is getting conflicting answers. Currently on hold with Ticketmaster to try to get an answer for the May 31, 2013 Chicago show. I have already talked to someone at TM and the United Center, both said eight was the ticket limit for the offer.

Requested clarification across the board, not for one specific show.

This is not complicated. The eight ticket limit is across the board... a show-wide policy. The pairs of $78 tickets is specific to that ticket. The intent is clear that individuals are to purchase a pair... 'you and your guest' 'one per household' all that. So scalpers cannot purchase 8 pairs for their 'family'.

I am really really really rooting for all of you who purchase more than a single pair with the same name and credit card, but that is against the rules and the explicit intent of the rule. It is clear from all language that it is one pair per name/credit card. They will quickly change the language before the next batch of them get released...

Id bet that when the Stones decided to make this special offer they were NOT thinking of people who had enough money to splurge on buying 8 pairs. Id bet that they were more hoping to help out people who needed an affordable way of getting into a show.

Id bet that The Stones feel that if someone has enough money to buy 8 pairs, then they have probably enough money to pay regular prices.

I wouldn't want anyone to get burned either, having said that, I'd prefer to see more families/fans get a chance to go.

Something about 'you and 7 of your closest family/friends at cheap prices' that doesn't sit well with me, if it means others lose the opportunity.

I don't see the issue with buying eight tickets if you are legitimately going with family and friends. I didn't use any bot type program and bought my other pairs late on Monday night after everyone had a chance to try for tickets ( provided I probably got very lucky timing wise). They aren't being sold at a premium and they are going to real fans who wanted to pay what they considered a reasonable price to see the Stones. I can understand a preference to see other people get tickets but, I fail to see how purchasing multiple tickets that you are not selling is against the rules. Just my take.

These tickets could have been easily purchased by other people in my party and no one would object. I think the non revealing of the actual seat location accomplishes the goal of eliminating a ticket holder and their seven Craigslist, stub hub or ebay guests.

Wells Fargo Center site is HORRIBLE.

As much as people like ti bit&h about TM, these "other" sites are usually so slow as they can't handle the volume

There is no $85 queue for the shows. It is the same "line". URL is identical. I have it open on 2 browsers on 3 comps for each night

I'm in for both shows @ $85, but only because my cousin hooked me up from his computer in California. I live 15 miles from the Wells Fargo and am STILL in queue! WTH?! Hoping for 2 more to the 23rd.

Those of you who scored tix for Philly, was there anything special you needed to do to bust through the "waiting for server to connect" problem? I've been waiting over an hour. Multiple windows open in browser help? Thanks!
