Hmmm, well a few hours before show time I reckon. The show is at 8:00 and I for one would like to be at the arean by 7:00ish. How does ~ 3:30 to 4:00PM sound?

Also, where might people otherwise be traveling/driving from -- in addition to Oakland and SF!

If people are still looking for places to stay, I'd recommend:

(1) Airbnb (this is the link to the SF Bay Area),

I'm also happy to give a personal opinion (I hereby indemnify myself from any liability etc. ha ha) of different places to stay.

I stay in SF. Many hotels right on the Bart line (subway). I'm staying at PARC 55- $150 a night for a real nice hotel. There seems to be many nice hotels in downtown SF for 130-160 if you search any of big names( hotels.com,Expedia ..).
Sunday and Monday in S.F. With the stones-life is good! And, less than a week-woohoo!

Depending on where you are staying, I would be willing to pick up two more Stoners along the way or drop you off after the show. Shoot us an e-mail if you are interested.

The Waterfront Hotel in Oakland is nice. We stayed there for the Dead a few years ago. Its right on Jack London Square and has fairly frequent Ferry service to Fishermans Wharf. $150 per night. I am booked there from 5/4-5/8. 6 miles from the venue.

The Waterfront Hotel is definitely one of the 2 best places to stay in Oakland.

The Oakland Marriott is also decent

JonDupree - will you be coming over to Disco Volante prior to the show? It's about a 15-20 minute walk or a 5-minute drive/cab.

It seems like quite a few are staying downtown San Francisco. This will be the meeting place for downtown SF, close to Union Square and BART stations on Market:

One block west of Powell and Market st., between Edy St and Market. I was there in January. They have plenty of draft beer, happy hour, beer by pitcher (jar), burgers, fish'n'ships and so on, large space and room for talking, more like a sports bar.

It is a perfect location to meet. Right at the BART station.And, if anyone is looking for a hotel, there certainly are a lot of them in the area. Rolling Stones -yeehaw!

Right on! Perfect for the Exiles on Market Street Gang! Should be OK during the day and in a group though, Fred....

No worries about the location. It's perfectly fine. There might be sitting a beggar on the sidewalk asking for money, but you find that all over SF. It's just a few blocks from Union Square.

For anyone who is still unsure about whether to attend this show - like I was - Ticketmaster now has great lower level seats available, and the secondary markets like StubHub are selling Lower Level side of stage seats (arguably the best seats after the tongue pit) for less than list price.

Feeling a lot better about this than on the day the tickets went on sale, when they were $600 seats at the back of the arena...

Hello Fellow-Stones Fans! I am new to posting, but read IORR regularly. I will be driving up to Oakland from Santa Barbara for the show. Would love to join you all prior and meet everyone. SOOOOO excited, can hardly contain myself...been waiting for this since Dodger Stadium, 2006.

Where is your pre-show get together? Please let me know so I can pass the word to Rockman who will be driving up from LA to see the show.

BluzDude, Swiss suggested a pretty cool place, but so far as I can see, the Cable Car City Pub & Cafe in San Francisco will be the place to hook up (See BV's post above) Would love to meet Rockman and the rest of you so if this indeed the place where most will be congregating before the show, that's where I'd like to go.
