How can you have a tour without a single show in the New York Metroplitan area? I know they were just here but have at least one show in the area!
I guess they consider Philly to be in the metro area.eye rolling smiley

Looks like Philly for me, it's a short train ride from DC. If they add Atlanta or NYC, I may try for those as well. If they make it to DC, then maybe cheap tickets for the whole family.

Really happy about seeing them again, with Mick Taylor too!

I think I am going to go ahead and book a hotel room now in Philadelphia, anyone know what is closest to the venue?

Hope to see some of you there!smiling smiley

Yeah it's relatively close but still a two hour drive from Manhattan. Besides you are likely to get mugged in Philly with all the crime down there.

I bummed, Bloomer - would've been fun to hang with you! I'm heading to Chicago. It was either Chicago or Toronto. Chicago is closest. Hopefully they'll be some more shows south of the Mason Dixon.

Anyone else going to Chicago??

Would love to meet up with you too, Memphiscats! Will you go to Atlanta, if they add a show there? I am assuming you are actually in Memphis.cool smiley

Maybe BV will start a thread soon for hotel/meeting up information.

75 dollars is the cheapest seat in Chicago and the cheapest seat in Toronto is 166 dollars? what the f-uck!

Re: The Rolling Stones 2013 Tour dates and more info

I'm going to assume that seats that are "only" $75 are behind the stage. Maybe the highest rows of the arena, but close to the stage if they're not all behind the stage. And with service charges, they're over $100. I would like to see Mick Taylor, but they're ripping people off. They weren't very good the last couple of times I saw them some years ago, and I assume they're not as good now, Mick Taylor or no Mick Taylor. Plus, as long as Ron Wood is in the band, you're stuck having to hear him.

MingSubu, fwiw, I usually try to make Las Vegas because of the great sound in the MGM Grand Arena, along with other factors. I only stayed at the MGM itself once, and it was so nice being in the same, though super-sized, hotel as the show. I'm doing it again this time. They sell Stones shirts in the stores, have banners around, and then too, the back-up band is often strolling through the halls. I am excited to stay there again...Talk about a short walk home! Hope that helps.

Maybe I am over looking something, here. How did the tour go from 18 to 9? Of course, 18 was never offical. Still, this looks like a West Coast tour. They are following a trend. Deep Purple's last tour here in '11, was in the NE and West Coast only. Last year, UFO mainly played the West Coast. The same for Black Country Communion. All the groups mentioned, played multiple West Coast dates with a few NE dates throw in. A sign of the times?

this should finally put an end to those who complained and whined endlessly about the $500 pricetag on the 2012 shows.

Re: The Rolling Stones 2013 Tour dates and more info

The 2012 shows had a pricetag of $800 for most of the tickets, so $600 is a relative bargain!!

Re: The Rolling Stones 2013 Tour dates and more info

....and no where else can I spend $600 for something that will put me in a good mood for weeks, as well as giving me 2-2 1/2 hours of absolute enjoyment. Paul McCartney is OK, but don't get a rush from listening to him. The Who are half a Who now, the Stones are it, 5 of them onstage together....the ultimate feel-good event. No, I can't afford it, but so what, that is what credit cards and bankruptcy are for.
