Mercedes's Nico Rosberg wins Monaco Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg became the first son of a former Monaco Grand Prix winner to triumph on the streets of the Mediterranean principality when he drove his Mercedes to an accomplished victory on Sunday.

In a chaotic race littered with accidents, red flags and two Safety Car interventions, the 27-year-old German, son of 1983 victor and original 'flying Finn' Keke Rosberg, produced an impeccable and flawless race to claim the second win of his career.

Totally disapointing ending. Everything was set for a great finish and instead it ended under cautions. Race should never end with winner following a pace car for the last three laps.

I am still enjoying the SF Giants win yesterday... trailing by 1 run in the bottom of the 10th Inning, Angel Pagan hits a ball over the right fielders head... it's certain that the tying run will score, but Pagan is waived in by the 3rd base coach for an incredible 2 run INSIDE-THE-PARK Homerun... listen to the announcer and watch the 3rd base coach as he's waiving in Pagan... the crowd goes wild!!

Great moment. Tim Flannery is the 3rd base coach. Best in the game and a damn fine musician as well. Google the "Lunatic Fringe" and check them out!

Game 5 heads to 2 OTs

Patrick Kane had sent the Chicago Blackhawks to another Stanley Cup Final.

And then the Kings wouldn't let Kane and Co. get that trip started.

Kane's second goal of Game 5 provided a late lead, the Kings' Mike Richards stunningly scored with 9.4 seconds left in regulation and then no one broke through after that, sending matters to a second overtime tied 3-3 at the United Center.... [www.chicagotribune.com]
