Dirty Work.

Not touring Australia behind Steel Wheels.

Bill leaving.

Soaring tix prices.

And now Bill being a dick for not signing Kait's Ya yas copy.

Not much if you consider my list for biggest high would probably use most of the space on this forum.

But this friggin eight year wait man........really getting on my nerves.

kyle m

Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

My biggest dissapointment is that they skipped Vancouver on the last tour! Oh, and probably Dirty Work. And also....it really sucked when Bill quit.

1. Of-coarse: No studio album in 8 friggin years. This is almost as bad as Gun n roses were until nobody gave a hoot anymore.

2. Ticket prices are too high now.

I think the Stones go through most of their money approximately every three years. Then they have to go back on tour to replenish the coffers.

Given all the Stones Homes, well Mick and Keith's mainly, and their lifestyles, this probably uses most of their money, and it goes fast. I think they have more assets than cash anyway. Charlie has the horses, (big expense) and Ronnie is the nmost active while the Stones are on hiatus, so I bet they have no choice but to go on tour every few years.

Bridges To Babylon - main disappointment! I had to wait until the last song on the album to get some real quality music...

Biggest dissapointment: the European leg of the Licks tour. I was really excited for the Stones to come to Europe. Judging from the boots, the US leg of the tours was great: Ronnie was back again, playing guitar instead of clowning around, the backup musicians role was diminished, and the song selection was great. Big big disapointment: in Europe Wood was drinking or doing other sorts of things again, Keith needed months to shed of the dust, I just thought it was plain horriible. The club shows were cool, with the Olympia even great due to the athmospehere and all, but I was truly ashamed when I saw them at the Kuip in Rotterdam...this had nothing to do with the band I love so deeply. On stage was a third rate cover band playing the bigest hits, while al the members had to much too drink. Shamefull.

Might be me who brings bad luck, but

1. UJ tour - drove all the way from Milano to London only to learn from the radio that the concert was posponed because keith allegedly hurt his finger replacing a string. Apparently that was the first time in the whole stones career that a concert was cancelled for physical inability of a stone!

2. Two (2 !) Milano concerts which were cancelled for Mick's throat problems (yes WS, you were not the only one outside s siro that day!)

3. Being just this close to a club gig during the liks tour, and not being able to get in.

I'd say the fact Mick doesn't sing all the verses. SFTD is a good example, he rarely sings the verse "Who killed the Kennedy's, well after all it was you and me".

My second disappointment is he uses some songs as a time filler, Miss You is a great example of this. IMHO, Miss You should be dropped from all future set lists.

Finally, Mick will share a mic with Ronnie more than he will with Keith. Hell, he'll even clown around with Ronnie more than Keith. For the upcoming tour I would like to see the Glimmer Twins sharing the mic.

Eh? Their collective worth is around a BILLION dollars. Assets or cash. Makes no real difference. Its theirs!

Even Michael Jackson couldnt spend that much in lawyers in his lifetime!

How much can it possibly cost to run a few houses and a stable!!

My biggest dissappointment was listening to the fast side of TATTOO YOU for so long and then finally listening to the slow side and realizing that I had been missing out on so many cool songs. That and ....DON WAS!!!

Helsinki stadium 2003. Then I grasped what people mean by "autopilot show", performed by "second-rate Stones $$$$$$$$$ Las Vegas tribute-band", but I think they even screwed up being even that. "Highlights":

(1) Keef screwed up the intro of "Brown Sugar" - it sounded like all of them played it out of tune, or at least in a different key - the song was unrecognizible until the chorus. A nice starter...

(2) Ronnie even didn't to touch the guitar with his right hand for the first four songs - just waving to the crowd and making not-so-funny (really) faces. It was the most embarrassing moment I have ever wittnessed my "hero" to act. What a privilege it was to be on "Ronnie's side"...

I don't want to go on..

2. Waiting 18 years to finally see "Memory Motel" played live.

1. Listening to that a**hole Dave Matthews ruin it on "No Security".

No tour for awhile now and waiting for the new disc. Also reading a great number of posts beating up on the band especially Ronnie and Keith. It's just such a drag to read them all the time...

My biggest disappointment is myself, having been to many great shows and got to drunk to remember much. Though i enjoyed every moment of it. I'm disappointed that i did not spend more money on merchandise like t-shirts in the older days, they do very good at the wall today.

And it disappoints me that you can't blame the Stones for anything off-putting like ticket prices, they never claimed to be welfare or 'politically correct' quite the opposite.

Justin Timberlake rates high also, right after the knight thing

another one is their bullshit re-mixes releases and an appalling Rock 'N Roll Circus DVD release which could have been SO much better.....

1-The time wasted by Mick and Keith in the 80's
2-Every solo album put out by MJ or KR cause they should have been Stones
albums
3-Biz Markie being sampled into a Stones song--Those few moments make
Satanic Majesties seem like a masterpiece instead of the load of crap
that it is.

Gazza, it won't be ''soggy seconds''... Just be sure to take the opportunity in Glasgow and you'll be sure to avoid ''sloppy seconds'' (as we call it in North America)...

That I missed the Knebworth festival 1976, I had planned to go but tragic things came in the way.
And that the didn't play Memory Motel at any of the two shows in Sweden 1998.
All the rest is just highlights as far as the Stones concerned!
