Money making release for the 2013 tour? I remember I was a "new" fan in 1971 (42 years ago!) and bought "Stone Age". It was a nice release for a new fan. May be there are "new" fans in 2013 too...

Yeah, I've seen this before at Wal-Mart also. According to Wal-Mart's website it was a Wal-Mart exclusive. But I guess it's not exclusive to them anymore.

I think I will not save my money for a ticket. If I buy this "new" collection instead of a ticket, then maybe I can be a true fan, finally.

I think I can manage without this one - but then I'm not a True Fan and never have been.

Totally agree. This compilation is perfect for new fun, clueless newbie. Though it is hard to be one in 2013

On the other hand - those creatures do not use CDs. They just do not know how to play those big plastic plates with hole in the middle on their iPods and iPhones. You know, there is no USB port on jewel case... How you will connect CD to iPod?

Grrr! is kind of expensive and contain 40 tracks in 2CD version and covers all 50years. This one could be positioned on market as a kind of very basic and cheap solution for early years. Useless never the less.

It's about 8 GBP on Amazon.co.uk.

I'd hardly call that expensive for 40 classic songs. Certainly cheaper than downloading!

Yes, I remember picking it up at Walmart when it was an exclusive there for $9...

If they use the proper original mono masters i would say this is a reasonable compilation.
Shame it isn't included in a mono English album box set (stereo Beggars,bleed) with 4 cds of alternate/unreleased tracks, 2cd set of bbc sessions, 1 cd featuring Bill's radio luxembourg acetate and other surviving acetates, 2 dvds of uninterrupted promos and live clips tv etc. in a beautifully made box featuring a 100 page look at the Stones Decca recording history from 1962 to 1969 including a complete rundown of all the sessions detailing songs recorded and surviving tapes.
I'd buy that.
