Palace Revolution 2000
I'm reading one of the newer Stonesbooks right now, and there are many quotes from all in there. I don't really dig the ones from Leavell because he sort of paints the picture as if he was a full Stone. E.g. he will share stories about Stu from the very first US tours. When Leavell wasn't even a blip on the Allman Bros' screen yet.
In the old days one of Keith's quotes would have applied to him: (paraphrased) "people will hang round the band, until they start seeing themselves as a full band member; that's when it is time to cut them off"

He is more than a backing musician, and I never said he is a Rolling Stone, nor did he

Why all the Chuck hatin'??
When the band gives the man, the musician, that much respect, them that's good for that long,it's good enough for me.

However, Chuck went too far in an interview back in 1997, if memory serves, resulting in not getting invited to play on B2B.

Do you remember which one? An interview in early 1997 then since work on B2B started in NYC in 12/96 with Mick and Keith and the recording was pretty much done at the end of March. I do remember reading that Chuck was "crushed" at not being invited to record B2B.

That's why I like Already Over Me so much - Chuck's not playing, it's Blondie.

What? It's Benmont Tench on that subtle "padding" keyboard!

Thanks for looking it up, I had no idea Blondie played the piano, particularly not on that track where I hadn't noticed it unlike the nice Hammond...will give it another listen...
