It's a great city that's seem up and down times. It's a real Eastern city, unlike Cincinnati, also in Ohio, which is a Southern city for the most part.

I grew up an hour south of Cleveland. Northeast Ohio is one of the most densely populated and diverse areas of the country. We've seen a lot of ups and downs but we're still holding on. No need to be jerks.

PS we decide who the president is. So don't mess with us.

LOL. As is New Holland and Founders. I have West Michigan's longest running Stones exhibit in my house. No need to go to Cleveland.

Right you are jumpinjackgreg. I've spent plenty of time in Colombus, OH, since we have relatives there and I can tell you that Cleveland is a much cooler city than Columbus.
I've never been to the R&R Hall museum there, but this event sounds like it would be worth the trip. It's good the exhibit is going to be there for a while.

At least there is a very good guitar shop in Cleveland. They fixed my guitar (wiring/mic adjusting) right there and then in no time when I was touring the US. Great guitars there as well. I don¨'t remember the name of the shop, though, but it wasn't very far from the HOF building.

Not sensitive, just tired of hearing negative opinions about a place I love, especially when it so painfully obvious they've never been there.

I have only been to Cleveland once and it seemed like a GREAT place. Great public transportaion, a great bar/entertainment district (I think it was called The Flats) and the peole seems like fun... Id go again, and next time I go back I would love to go visit that roller coaster theme park down the street a ways... maybe take a big sail boat out on the lake.

As for Jann Werner's little modern music and rap museum tourist trap, I would skip that.

I went to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame when I was in Cleveland once and thought it was a complete joke. 20 something bucks a ticket to see nothing impressive at all. I couldn't believe it, some of the stuff they had in the small Stones section wasn't even accurate. They also had Mick Jagger's Dancing in the Street playing where the Stones exhibit was.

Was in Cleveland last April to catch a Springsteen show. Visted the RRHOF. Loved the Springsteen show and the hall. Otherwise, the best part about Cleveland was the city limits sign in my rear view mirror.

Joined the military...got out, went to school, earned my doctorate, found a position at University in Texas.

Don't teach anymore, but stayed in Texas because I met my wife, established roots and my life here.

Why do you stay in the New York/New Jersey area?

.....probably for the same reasons I mentioned huh?
