I did n't intend Wood v. Taylor, but truth be told

I never liked Wood. I don't like the mugging he does, his hair style, his trying to upstage Jagger and the man never played well listen to the Faces.

I think it's good to know where you're coming from - so we can filter your bias out as needed.

To say the man didn't play well with the Faces is kind of absurd. He helped architect and prototype a guitar sound that has been followed by countless other since.

A comment like that is kind of like saying - I love Rock'n'roll but can't stand Chuck Berry, or Elvis or Little Richard. Er, um....wha?

T & A hate to disagree Mr. Wood is no where near

the level of Chuck Berry in terms of influence and the Faces contribution to Rock and Roll was to be the poor man's Rolling Stones. I'd rather never hear a song again than hear Stay with Me or Brostal Boys again. Rod's solo efforts until Footloose and Fancy Free were better than anything the Faces had done.

Well if you appreciate Rods early solo stuff, look at Every Picture Tells a Story, perhaps his most classic solo album, and you will se Ronnie was there also has a major contibuter.

Is there any reason you couldn't have added this to your other thread?
This is just another thread started on a premise filled with rubbish.
And what rubbish it is.

Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

I think it is easy to dislike Ronnie - he does seem rather shallow and facile when compared to the other members of the Stones and i do believe his work with the Faces was the pinnacle of his career and very impressive at times.
I have also been listening to his first solo album I've Got My Own Album To Do and it's very good. His singing is also heartfelt and convincing.
I'm the first to admit i've never been convinced with him as a Stone although he was quite dedicated in the first few years.

i like mick t for some of the great guitar he plyed when with the stones.
