I wanna be your man by "the railroaders with keith richards"

from the cd "Connection 1963-66"
this is "I wanna be your man"
by "the railroaders with keith r."
as stated on the back of the cd.

Can anyone give any info about the singer, the drummer, the bass player?
And: is the guitar solo part by Keith Richards, or does he only play the guitar accompaniment?

Sounds like a clever fake.

No idea if it is or not.

I think that's where this likely forgery took the name The Railroaders from though. The recording sounds like it's probably later than the sixties and I don't think that's Keith in any decade playing guitar.

I agree.

That's a processed guitar.

And the drums are suspect as well.

The real ALO version of the song is instrumental. It's not this version.

there's not much fake about this song, the cd is in the video, as well as the sleeve. Anyone who knows who's singing? I now presume it IS keith Richards that plays guitar, though "Keith R." may refer to someone else, otherwise his full name would have been used. I really have no clue.

The CD was not a commercial release. They are listed as a Westwood One series, but appear to be counterfeit as the lengthy series was never produced for a Westwood One broadcast.

That said, as noted above, on the CD in question the track "I Wanna Be Your Man" is not by The Railroaders, it is by The Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra. The Railroaders track is "Stu-Ball" and that does feature Keith Richards. The person who uploaded the track on Youtube made an error.

The real ALO version of the song is instrumental. It's not this version.

The ALOO Orchestra version of "I Wanna Be Your Man" was originally released on "16 Hip Hits".
It was later re-released on the UK LP compilation "Rarities" and on the french CD compilation "Connection 1963-66".

This version NOT INSTRUMENTAL, this is EXACTLY the SAME version WITH vocal on the youtube clip linked by dingq

The processed/phased sound makes it hard to tell whether the electric guitar is a modern fake overdub or not.
