Yes, the same promoter as for the Le Cannet show that got cancelled, but the show has now been booked through Chuck's former agent, who is very reliable and he told me that things are looking good.

He never said that.
He also did not play Zurich in 2009.

I haven't found anything on his web page. Was it the last year or the year before that Chuck was (supposedly) to play one concert in Europe and some people here even had tickets? I believe it was in France too. Didn't happen of course. Mr. Berry will not fly to Europe to do one concert.
I would be more than happy if he did a European tour and since I have never seen him, I would buy a ticket on the day they would go on sale, but until I see an official tour schedule on his web page, I am sceptical. Well, if CBII says it will happen then it I will believe it too, of course :-)

That is very interesting! Was the news article all BS?
Maybe CBII here on this board can give us something on this?

I saw him 10 yeARS AGO IN A SMALL 15000 CAPACITY clubin the uk for £10, he played with a local band for 45 mins, Unbelievebley good, peopled, didn't believe he would actually be there SO after the event everyine was kicking themselves for not going. He flew in to do 2 club gigs , one in Northampton then the following night in Oxford, then flew straight back to the uk.
I don't know what he got paid for that but lets say he was paid the full amount the clubs took that would be £30,00 for 2 nights work and the clubs must have maid their money on the drinks. I still to this day cannot believe I saw Chuch Berry for £10 and niether can anyone else.

I saw him in Munich in December 2007, I believe, and he was terrible! I was quite shocked at how bad he played and sang. I was disappointed to say the least. Hope you guys get a better show.

Thanks, Wolfgang. I didn't know that...

He did make a poem about growing older. That's all. The papers made a BS story out of it.

Well, he said he will do it and he has done one-off shows in Europe before.
He will also perform at Club Arena in Moscow, Russia on February 24th.
The show in France last year did not happen because the promoter was unable to cope with his fee at the time.
His official website is absolutely forgettable and has missed out on a whole deal of dates he has actually played.
