I agree, I think Mick's Wandering Spirit is far better than anything any other Stone has put out. I still need to get a few other solo albums from Bill and Taylor but from what I have I would say that is my favorite. Its a shame if you were to combine some of Mick and Keith's solo stuff you have a few good Stones albums.

I do like some of Charlie's jazz stuff.

Are any of Wyman's albums worth getting, probably not. I still need to get Mick Taylor stuff but from what I have heard in the samples they give you on Amazon it sounds pretty bad.

Good - another chance for me to tout:

Ronnie's overlooked '81 gem: 1234. Best Stones solo album....I'll take Keith's Talk is Cheap as #2.

WANDERING SPIRIT for sure. I know Mick has got "it" but he really had "it" on this album. SPIRIT still sounds good to this day.

I'm sorry, gentlemen, but you'll need to re-cast your ballots. IGMOATD is disqualified as it was released by Ronnie at a time when he was not in the band.
Please try again....

I like Mick's 1st solo release with Jeff Beck on guitar!! and the song from his
2nd release: Throw away!! taped that Video from MTV back-when

HoundDog - pick up Taylor last release: A Stones Throw, not the American release

Japanese or English which has the "original" version of: Never fall in love again
Taylor's leads at the end of that song are top-notch!! His 1st solo album (1979)
has some good material on it too - MLC

Yes, I agree with you that it is Wandering Spirit. That's the album that got me into the Stones in the first place at 13. And in 2nd place it would be Charlie Watts Jim Keltner Project.

I have the DVD (The concert, not the TV Special). It's VERY good. Good picture, good sound. And the band rocks. The only thing that's wrong with the Red Devils is that they aren't the Stones.

OT: I'd have to say tie between WS and TIC.

I like Wandering Spirit and Talk is Cheap. Although while I am a "Keithaholic", I must admit that Talk is Cheap hasn't aged all that well with me. And I actually like Goddess in the Doorway. Highly underrated in my book, and one of the records that gets a lot of plays in my house.

Main Offender is my favourite.

Wandering Spirit is the best of Mick's albums, with "Goddess" second.

I think "Gimme Some Neck" is Woody's best album

Boys, boys - leyt's settle this!
1) Talk is Cheap
2) Main offender
3) Wandering Spirit
4) Goddess in the doorway.

But one thing remains an eternal truth: The Stones together is an awfull lot stronger, better, more creative and interresting to listen to than the individuals on their ego/solo-trips. Some of them have mentioned this, Keith amongst others, and they're aware of it. So get out there and play! Give us the new album! Now!!! Don't keep us waiting so long. Remember: You're not the only ones who are growing old... Some of your fans are drifting into their fifties also.

No doubt, Wandering Spirit. Best "Stones album" since Tattoo You.

Talk is cheap is the 2nd best solo release.
