I still can't stand "Sweet Black Angel". Pretty much everything about it rubs me the wrong way: the tune itself, the arrangement and sound mix, and of course Jagger's fake Caribbean vocal stylings.

I took Let It Bleed back to the record shop the day after purchasing it. At the time, I primarily listened to the 1963-67 Stones. I found some of the lengthier tracks off putting. Its' probably my favourite Stones album, now.

I'm not sure that I've hated an album and then listened to it a lot.
There are plenty that took me a while to get into but an album has to have something to make me want to play it again.

As far as Stones content goes... Undercover. Laughed at it the first few times, but fell in love with She Was Hot and the next thing I knew I was digging the whole album.
Other bands... Joy Division. The first time I heard Ian Curtis's voice I thought "I can't believe someone let him sing... and I can't believe people worship these guys."
Next thing I knew they became my favourite band for a couple of years.
