Of course they don't make a new album. Maybe they will bring something to the surface but it's hard to imagine MJ & KR are all of a sudden close enough to create something new and something great again together.

if jamarcus russell is ready to re-enter the nfl, then it's entirely possible that something even more unimaginable like MJ & KR creating something great again could happen. just sayin'....

I think M&K creating a Scrabble version of the band's catalog would be great, but I would hold out for the Life board game.

Yes. I am planning for Aconcagua, but then I need 3 weeks. The Stones will then be in Japan or Australia so I think Aconcagua have to wait until after the Stones tour. Unless it is the last show of the tour for some weeks. But it is perfect climbing season wise...

So then (as always taking bv's word to the bank) the answer to my question,
what did Mick mean when he said that the Stones would not be ready by April,
is as follows:

Keith improved radically from the time of the Apollo show to November at the O2.
And he will continue to improve radically, so that by this summer not just his
playing, but his energy, can once again fill and satisfy a large venue. And any
questions about demand will be resolved by lowering average prices. There's one
thing about young people today, they respect what they call "legends" very much,
and will jump at the chance to attend popularly priced Stones shows, so the
energy level of the audience will also be much better. Maybe there will even be
some of those "free festivals" that somebody around here was hyping not that
long ago, to set a nice celebratory tone for the mega-ish tour. Five shows
may have been all that Keith could handle in late 2012, but just you wait til
summer 2013, when he completes his comeback and caps his career.

Of course it isn't impossible, and given their lengthy career what better way to cap it off? Also, as human beings we all need goals.....something to strive for.....and for them, IMO, this privides that. Especially at their ages, there is only so much hanging around with family you can do before you need to do something.....while you still can.

Yes, when the weather is great, I love outdoor stadium shows too. I am from the U.S. but hopefully the Stones will do a few Stadium shows in Canada and the USA...

No, all we know is :
- They will not play at Coachella because Mick said they would not be ready in April
- They will play in 2013

Unfortunately the idiot journalist at NME did not ask Mick what he meant by "ready", hence the speculation here ;-)

Mick has confirmed there will be shows in 2013, and that they are not gonna stop.

There will probably be shows, starting in June...
