Eric Burdon is wonderful, and I love listening to War with Eric late at night. It's that chilled-out jazzy vibe.

I like the Animals, whether they are the bluesy beat group, or the psychedelic blissed-out version.

This is a very good song. Thanx for sharing.

Eric Burdon is also a good live act, saw him about 20 years ago.

I like it, too. Obviously, his voice has lost some of it's power, but if I didn't know he was 71 years old, I'd swear I was still hearing the voice of a young man. That's something we used to think just wasn't possible; that you could be that old and still kinda sound the way you did when you were young.

The new song has a good sound, lyrics, and vocals. Burdon has been consistently good in later years. His album My Secret Life in 2004, Soul Of A Man in 2006, and Athens Traffic Live [recorded in 2005 but released in 2011; also contains a bonus DVD] are all worth repeated listening. The live album Athens Traffic has a great cover of the Talking Heads song Heaven:

How so and why would he do that?

Burdon should have brought up "DC Cab"....

He sounds a bit like Tom Jones. TJ, the Voice has just gotten better and better with age; more Blues oriented, so meeting with Burdon in the middle makes sense to me.

Wait'll you hear the auto-tune effect on the new Rod Stewart single. OMFG.

The new album is a bit of a letdown after his two previous records, which were much better. His voice is still solid, but the material, for the most part, is not up to par.

I used (what's the exact title) "How many good times have been wasted having good times" when I was a teacher at school. Nobody knew Eric Burdon but liked the song immediately and found themselves reflected in the lyrics.
