Nothing but ships, fish and various whales to worry about.

We are now at Peak Season for Hurricanes. Locally we have a Tropical Wave , which will bring lots of Rain for the next 5 days. I'm glad - The Heat &Humidity this past month has been brutal.

Sally to span New Orleans- Let's hope it stays down to Cat 1 - Surges unknown ...

Hurricane Sally expected to become a slow moving category 3 with storm surge as high as 9 feet in LA and western MS. Strongest winds over the water with TS force winds expected over inland areas.

Eye may form just before landfall and go right over New Orleans.

I would trade it for eternal hellfire and smoke that we have had for the past two weeks. Last time Jah come with water, this time he come with FYAH!

Now Sally's path, at the moment, again, I've lost track of how many times, has moved east to Mississippi, probably Gulfport, as a strong 1 or "weak" 2.

20+ inches of Rain -Sally is slow moving -

^^^^ We've been experiencing the same thing in SF. There's some moderate improvement today, and it's the first time in a long time that you can enjoy being outside. It's unclear though if things will continue to improve or the smoke will blow back in. No one really knows.

3 named systems today in the Atlantic, with Beta becoming the second Greek alphabet named storm more than a month earlier than the 2005 season.

Sally hit on September 16th, 16 years later to the day - and landfall - as Hurricane Ivan. That's a 9 letter difference!

Wilma formed October 17 in 2005. Wilfred formed today - a month earlier.

2005 got as far as Zeta, 28 storms in total. So far it's to 23.

All kinds of crazy stuff happening this hurricane season - except one: 2020 has no where near the individual storm intensity level that 2005 had.
