on Saturday July 20th it was 110 with the heat index in Brooklyn, Ct.

We have a tropical wave that will bring 5 to 6 inches of rain over the next three days. Nothing untypical. Glad to be dry, Glad to be dry anywhere.

Well, we expect the second heatwave over here near river Rhine around Cologne and Bonn. Last year was a catastrophe - no rain for months, this time, too, much too less rainfall but instead comes heat and wind again...

They say that we can say goodby to our beautiful beech forests, because it's getting much too warm and dry for the beech trees... it's a shame ...

We just topped the heat record of all time before twice for this country yesterday, July 25, 2019 by some 42.6° Celsius - about 108.68 degrees Fahrenheit...

Time is up - I guess!

I just noticed - Does it rain much at the bay? Of course, morning clouds the picture so to speak.

It has been hot hot hot an humid humid humid for weeks and weeks on the tour. Even NJ/NYC and Denver was hot. Yesterday I flew from Denver into Portland Oregon and finally thank you the weather is NORMAL not like being in a shower where only the hot water is on.

Hurricane Ike reached 4 sides of the GOM and had a storm tide all the way around the Gulf Coast and Bay Of Campeche.

So far Dorian is just another hurricane with 105 mph winds.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dorian become a 5 between the Bahamas and Florida.

The fact that they NHC never once hinted at Dorian getting to the strongest Category 5 hurricane in the Bahamas with 185 mph sustained winds and gusts of 220 is absurd: the water is plenty warm enough. This is not a surprise.
