Here in Florida in the
SE United States, it is hot and humid as usual. Difference now is the hurricane left us with no power and thus no ac to beat the heat. However alive and well or as well as can be. Here in Pensacola we were unscathed. However, just a few miles east of us in the Panama City area, utter devastation is the rule.[/quote
Yes indeed. I live in the Panama City Mexico Beach area, one of the small rural towns around them. Been through many hurricanes in my life, but never saw one like this.

Nasty mess around here as we recover from Hurricane Michael.
We are safe and our home wasn't damaged - did have over 40 trees down in my yard!
Power restored after 5 days.
Got it better than many - 2 people close to me lost houses at Mexico Beach.
Thankful to be safe.
