Hot hot hot (by UK standards) - three days on the run above 32C (that's around 90F) and our office hasn't got air conditioning... Sticky.

Anyway, we're told that it will all end in the mother and father of all thunderstorms just in time to provide the traditional Glastonbury mudbath at the weekend.

Been sort of almost smelling, certainly feeling 'summer' early this last week of mornings. Wide variance of temps by the shore; usually some degree of marine layer, which I also love, tho most want the clear sunshine in sourthern California. Surfers say the water's really warm at sixty five or more. Surprised this early; first day of summer behind us yesterday. Lots of grey and marine layer for most of the day right by the sea where I live and I love it frankly. It opens up to sunshine later in the day usually at some point. The surfers will go in the water even when it's cold and raining around here. It's really a drag seeing all the women bending over wriggling out of their wet suits with only the barest slight bikini underneath. Just bending over like that for long periods of time wiggling and wriggling, kind of twisting and screwing herself out of that thing this morning for the longest time me and my friend were just sitting outside looking at her wondering what her problem was; I mean they just do that all the time. Bending over like that. And wiggling. I mean, you could do that on the damn beach couldn't you? And not be right in front of my house forcing me to sit in my car and take pictures. Do they think I havew nothing better to do first thing in the morning? Some people just don't get it.

Still no weather to report- No barometric values, temperature- I did call the South Florida weather authorities and they have agreed to send a Weather balloon out tonight to investigate the absence of weather.

Getting into the high 90's the rest of this week, spent an hour this morning clearing shrubs away from the AC unit. Fun times.

Forecast today: 72 degrees under fluorescent skies with white, puffy ceiling tiles. Office work my be nice but the weather in this place is the same 52 weeks a year.

HOWEVER...

By 5:05 I hope to be in the 90 degree outside air waiting for my 120 degree car to cool off in the parking lot.

If the traffic Gods are in a better mood today, I hope to be poolside by 6:00 where I hope to reward myself for successfully surviving another day in the office!

Cool foggy morning today yippee, but heat returns this weekend. Surf is up with swells generated from Hurricane Eugene off the coast of Mexico.
