Nice shot, STG. Is that The Beaches area (or The Beach as I believe they prefer it called)?

Meanwhile in the UK we've been getting blown away by Storm Doris - the usual winter mixture of snow, rain, stormy seas, high winds and travel chaos (and sadly one poor lady getting killed by falling debris). Inevitably the media have decided that today has been Doris Day.

An insane 18'C today. Doors are open, blowing in some lovely fresh air. Back to a more normal 4' drizzle tomorrow. I am putting the Southern Hemisphere on notice - we want our warm air back next month!

It wasn't as bad here in London as further north, but strong enough to blow down a twenty foot length of brick wall just down the road from me.

Plenty of awful Doris Day jokes. One chap on the internet remarked that once it started blowing branches off the trees it would have reached the dead wood stage.

(Another rimshot please!)

72 degrees F (22 C) here in Philadelphia today.

It's the middle of winter.

This is crazy.

I fear for the future.

It's -10'C. We're expecting a blizzard with 4" of snow tomorrow. But at least it's Daylight Saving Time now, so we'll be able to watch the blizzard clearly until 7pm. #WTF.

About to get crushed with a foot and a half of snow tomorrow here in Maine. Bloody cold weekend we just had, though it's been a warm winter overall. Had heaps of snow in February, and 20" or so completely melted in about a week's time. I love snow, so I'm greatly looking forward to tomorrow's dumping. Just as long as my snow thrower contraption functions properly.
