The need for Keith to sing THREE songs is indeed very new. On early albums none...and I can only recall at the msot two through Voodoo lounge. I think three started with B2B, skipped No Security,and recently happened on the live collection just released. I may be wrong, have been before !The other issues I agree withyou on.

1. that it takes them 8 years to release new Stones-material
2. the amount of greatest hits albums
3. the ticket prices

2. Not taking advantage of their archive (most importantly a BBC sessions disc, followed by live/studio)
3. Not taking advantage of the CD format and just reissuing albums with out bonus tracks/sleeve notes etc

Too many guests I didn't pay to hear Cheryl Crow, Axl Rose, Dave Matthews..et al on songs like HTW, Salt of The Earth or Memory Motel in concert

Keith's one liners "it's great to be here, it's great to be anywhere" or "I've got a show to do" I would think Mr Richards could come up with a something new and different to say every night

1) them neglecting their past. Instead of making money with releasing outtakes and live shows from the golden years they give is NS and Live Licks.
2) Keith Richards doing his Keith Richards act -the stupid movements, the stupid oneliners, not ONE foto since 1989 without a cigarette in his hand. Try to play goddamit.
3) the average stones fan in a stadium: beer belly, worn Levi's jacket with Stones tongue's and "ban the bomb" buttons from the eighties screaming "whoo whoo".

1.- For sure, not taking advantage of their past/archive/legacy releasing something like Dylan's "bootleg series" on CD or DVD or both. This can lead to useful remastered editions with bonus material, too.

2.- The lack of guitars and improvisation on stage, so they show has to rely (sp?) on giant screens (so both guitar players play even less notes and pose much more) and backing singers/musicians too much.

3.- Keith singing leads too much, instead of singing backing vocals with Ronnie.

Number three leads to Keith not showing Ronnie much respect and support, I believe. (It's only my opinion, or anybody shares??)

I forgot....In Utrecht at the Vredenburg there was an elderly women, small and really overweight, who wore an enormous foam Stone tongue on her belly. It was so big that you actually only could see her head and her feet. She was standing there all day, and I understand that she didn't have a icket. WHen I saw her, I actually felt some sort of shame I am a Stones fan too....it was really hard to explain this to my girlfriend whose really not a Stones fan....
