Hopefully someone will produce something similar to hbwriter's recent E-book on Stonsey locations in the USA for the Uk or even Europe. If I lived in London and had the time, I;d certainly be looking to take on such a project.

Great photos by the way. Thanks for ptting them up here.

Not actually the Crawdaddy club, but a restuarant two doors up, as indicated on the sign.

About time they started giving the Crawdaddy site recognition again. The failure to do so in recent years since the old sign was removed when the bar changed hands is bloody embarrassing.

There is a thread on here somewhere (I'm buggered if I can recall the title however) in which these English Heritage blue plaques was discussed, the likes of which adorns the entrance to the famous joint opposite Ealing Broadway station where Mick n' Keef used to go to see Alexis Corner play. Given the significance of the old Station Hotel in Richmond, which in more recent years has been the Bull & Bush, then a wine bar called Edwards, I for one think that the building desrves one such plaque. It's quite easy to initiate proceedings in order for it to be given consideration ..........

The acknowledgement is nice, even if it's at the wrong site and it seems a bit inaccurate.
It wasn't called the Crawdaddy Club at their first gig there - they called it that when the Stones got hot.
Thanks for posting it.
