Justin, is that you, one of those people talking in the PPV before the show starts? (Once after Elton John and once after Martin Sorsese.) I have seen you in your JJF and MR instructional videos on youtube and that guy in PPV either has to be you or someone who looks very much like you.

Does Keith mouth "@#$%& you" when he plays the JJF intro? Could be wrong.

Bought the gig for my iPad at £9.95.
Plug in some decent headphones and it is the dogs bollox.
It's only rock and roll but I like it !

Concurring, I never heard such a long and loud response to Keith.

For a second, I thought Mick might try to interrupt it to move the show along for the PPV. smiling smiley

As Keith's prolonged ovation went on he became quite emotional. On the big screen his eyes welled up and he wiped away a tear. Great moment in a great show!

Sorry if this has already been brought up, I must have missed it.

Did anyone else noticed that when Keith got up to the mic to do his set, he kept looking at his hands, as though he had stuff written on them that he wanted to remember to say? I was thinking he was going to say something about the shootings.

He got such a huge response though, bigger than normal it seemed to me, that it seemed he changed his mind, like he didn't want to lose the buzz, bring down the crowd.

Perhaps it was my imagination, but it seemed he looked at them a few times.

Didn't notice that one, but when Mick introduced Wild Flowers, he was looking down at the floor, hand to his heart (if I remember right). He's the man!

Wild Flowers? I missed that they played another new song spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

it was a good concert, jagger carries the 90% of the load, every tour his contribution comparing the other 3 is constantly growing.
better to stop now, unbeaten like rocky marciano, or keep on touring?
what's gonna win? hear tor brain? i will be happy in any case

Well, I think that was exaxtly what he didn't have to do this time.

This time the entire band did great, as opposed to earlier tours.

Sadly many of those gardens and garden apartments near the shore were destroyed or damaged by the hurricane

What a strange idea. Mick has the whole show with all the people look at him, repeating his every movement - waving their hands, swaying, clapping, whatever... Mick receives the adoration and worship for two and a half hours and I think he is only glad Richards can feel the same for 5min.
I never could understand why Richards fans are so tedious. The show was really great and exiting, everyone did great and Mick in particular was phenomenal. but here we go again

The show tonight was stunning! Absolutely fracking stunning! Mich Taylor was the alpha guitar, but kudos to Ronnie too. He played some fantastic stuff tonight. Especially his lead on Going Down, full on Faces furry. Also his playing on Dead Flowers was beautiful. Mick was in amazing voice, really one of the best live vocal performances of his career. An incredible celebration of their 50th and Mick sings consistently good the entire show. A true highlight. He was so focused and putting so much feeling into his performance. I am stunned. A grand grand night indeed! Thank you Rolling Stones!

thumbs up Agree 100%
Not only his singing was great but I really liked his moves. He danced way better than on? the last 3 or 4 tours - very naturally and musically.
I like this description in RS:

"Yet all eyes were on Jagger, a cosmic blur of hips and ribs and lips, attacking each song with an unbelievably ruthless rocks-off energy, whether he was shimmying through "Honky Tonk Women" or strumming his guitar for "Dead Flowers," in its first appearance of the tour. (It was a fan selection, as voted via the band’s new smartphone app.) For most of the show, he wiggled in the same skintight outfit he wore on the Stones’ 1969 tour: black drainpipe trousers, clingy long-sleeve T-shirt, Cuban-heel boots. In his case, actually, it might have been the *exact* same outfit – no doubt the old one still fits. (How does this man do it? Zumba? Tantric Pilates? Or just generally getting his ya-ya’s out?)"

I did not understand it either, but somebody kindly explained me that one can be a fan of the Stones and prefer one of them. The thing is that KR fans prefer him more loudly, aggressively and competitively. Oh, and tediously

But really it doesn't matter. These gigs were so great and now there is hope for new music and more shows from them.

Actually, proudmary, I'm a huge Mick fan, not in the Keith faction you speak of, just making a little joke of the moment, from a close view in the live audience. Anyone who knows me can attest to my focus, just ask them. (See my signature photo below, for example.) From what I can see, many of us do appreciate more than one band member, at one time or another, or even at the same time, and we can empathize with those who like someone else more than our own favorite,
if we have one.

I strongly suspected at least one person would take offense at my brief comment above. From my vantage point, it's
really not 'here we go again', *not at all*, not this time, sorry about that, agree to disagree. I find that over-
stereotyping individuals often leads us to erroneous conclusions.

One reason I like the band is because of their sense of humor.

Fans against tedium unite! Ho, ho, ho.

Re CindyC's observations about Keith - yes, I noticed that and wondered what it was all about - the notes on the hands explanation didn't occur to me. He DID say later in his intro that he "ought to say something about all the people watching all over the world" (or something like that) so maybe it was that, and not the shootings, that he had the reminder for? Anyway, whatever it was, he was clearly too blown away by his reception to remember what he'd been supposed to say.

proudmary - I enjoy Ronnie, I appreciate Charlie, I admire, respect and enjoy the astonishing Mr. Jagger - but Keith I love, faults and all, and there's no doing anything about it. It's just a fact of my life, which does not require me to hate other members of the band.
