Yesterday I saw here in Basel (CH) REM in concert. What a great band! So far, during the European leg of their tour they have changed the set list dramatically every evening. Mick... Chuck... are you listening???
If you have the chance to see them somewhere during this tour, I can just recommend to go and listen...

Well I might consider (but only if they sell overpriced satekroketten in the eetstalletjes!). Sorry Sjouke, couldn't resist! Off-topic again, but I had my worst meal ever in..........Basel, a cold vegy burrito in the central station. It came with mayo tho!

Sounds great Sjouke!
Probably I'll catch them in Vienna in early February, seems like it's worth it!

Liked REM for years (since Lifes Rich Pageant). Check out Guns, Liquor And Ammo by Nikki Sudden where they are NKs backing band.

They are about to reissue all their WB CDs as double packs with DVD material (Stones take note).

thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to seeing them when they're in Belfast at the end of next month.

Sjouke - read the Chuck interview in the latest editon of IORR. He's very keen on the band mixing the setlists up, but it's Mick who wont take risks by playing lesser known songs in larger venues. Keith has also said he doesnt like pushing him too much that way either if he doesnt feel like doing it.

I will them in Paris on 8th Feb.

I have seen them on their previous tour and I've kept a very good souvenir of their shows.

It is fun to read on some REM forums the discussions about the setlist. They throw in so many different songs each night. One is complaining about too many old songs, the other about too many from the last album. Others are again jealous, that they play a certain song not in their city...

Maybe the Stones ain't that bad with their setlists, solid with always a few surprises.
