Most underrated: Winter
Most overrated: Miss You

Most underrated: Can I only pick one song? there's lot of them... Soul Survivor, Sway, Thru and Thru, (Can't you hear me knocking?)
Most overrated: You can't always get what you want

Sway would have been my number 2 underrated

Both are very good, dont get me wrong, but I just do not see then as so many miles above the rest as many do.

Satisfaction! Aside from the fantastic intro, the song really never worked for me. It is recorded really badly: the tempo drifts, Charlie changes the beat around, Keith makes a major mistake with the riff in the middle, the bass doesn't seem to connect. Keith has always claimed that the released version wasn't finished, that is actually still was a demo, and think he is right with that.

BTW Mathijs: I agree on the original studio recording. It's really not all that great. But there's some kick ass versions from the VL and B2B tours IMO.

Most underrated: "Tops". I love that tune. It should have been released as a single!
Most overrated: I agree with the masses here on "Honky Tonk Women". Either that or "You Got Me Rocking" which I've never considered in the same class as "Brown Sugar", "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and the other giants.

I can hardly believe people mention HTW as overrated: it's simply a masterpiece of musical architecture! You're all confusing 'overrated' with being overplayed live, something completely different!

over- Satisfaction (the studio version but I love the version they did on the 69 tour, kind of a cover of Otis Redding's cover) and Time waits for no one ( I know this song is really loved by all the Taylorites on this board but to me its just sappy and boring)

Under-Hot Stuff (I know many people really hate this but I think it has a brilliant groove and I can't help but move to it) and Undercover of the night(ok a bit 80's sound in the drums but other then that I think it really rocks and by far their best video!)

HTW is clearly one of the best recorded songs The Stones ever has put out. To grow tired of the song (mostly because of cheesy live versions from the latest tours) is a totally different matter, and has nothing to do with the quality of the song.

The sound, the verses, the chorus, the production, the back up-vox, the guitars etc. I can't find a single thing to bash about the original version (even though I think they should stop playing it live).

I agree on Satisfaction being overrated. I mean we always see Satisfaction being in the first positions on any "Best Songs in History" poll or list, but don't you hardcore fans have many Stones songs that you like more than Satisfaction??

About most underrated Stones songs, I find Worried About You as one of them.

Why would you think they would play it, nobody in the band is fond of this song and it has never been rehearsed.

She Was Hot or Slave may make appearances next tour.
