sambora is good - he's better than this band - actually - all but jon are good - he's simon le bon without the charm

Hey you just leave Simon out of this! I saw both Duran and Bon Jovi at a concert in the early 1990's for Z100 as co-headliners. Duran blew them out of the water even though there were by far more Bon Jovi fans there. Clapton will likely be boring so it's really up to the Stones to pick things up. I think they're up to the challenge.

by default- kanye west will steal the show for a lot of people - simply because he's not a pasty white guy

Just because he's black, that doesn't mean he's a thief.

but this show NEEDS to be hijacked!

The Stones have a bit of a competition after that Springsteen performance... But I have the faith baby...

I dunno, it doesn't look good for the fan favorite home team. The Who are going on after The Stones, and they've just finished up the first leg of their tour, having played 20 shows in the last 5 weeks. I say The Who will be owning this event.

Ok, let's see, the richest geographical area in the richest country on earth
is broadcasting a telethon into Nigeria and Bangla Desh to raise money to
rebuild the boardwalk for Snooki...

Oh yeah, this makes so much sense. So don't worry, the world has not lost its mind.
I get your point, but I was in the area last weekend (Brooklyn) and where I walked before and after the RS show it looked far from being the world's richest geographical area.

Bon Jovi either has a head cold or his big red nostrils are giving him a nice buzz.

If he does steal the show it'll be because he's a talented artist. Not that any of you would give him a chance or anything.

this thing already feels really starchy - billy crystal - susan sarandon - the average age seems to be "deceased"

Silly Pistol and Susan Saran-Wrap? Is this rock n roll or is it the Oscars?

Bruce was great. You can tell Bon Jovi is really a pop act. Roger Waters was fine, but it was a note for note album performance. I wholeheartedly support this cause. I just hope the Stones can goose up the level of performance a bit.

This may be the most uptight audience I've ever seen at a rock show. I suspect tickets were exclusively available at Brooks Brothers.

Jeez fellas this is our age group, if you want kids jumping all over the stage wait for the MTV music awards show.

Don't forget this is being broadcast all over the world AND they want to appeal to people to donate money.

Some here are as intolerant as parents of the 60s were about the Stones. Give it a rest and quit bitching! Bon Jovi is playing his ass off, and Bruce was really good as well!

Hope the Stones bring some game and don't throw out just Miss You, Shattered and Start Me Up. Salt of the Earth or some "nugget" would be nice.

I'll start - damn, Springsteen is good smiling smiley

if that's your opener, you can just call it a night

i didn't say they were *good* comments as the show flows

as your editor, i still say it needs to be re-written...try inserting some words like: "overblown hype" or "take a laxative already" or "dylan you're not"

Or "I've seen rock and roll future and its name is Bruce Springsteen". It got Jon Landau a lifelong gig.

After reading a lot of these comments, I can't decide of there is an overabundance of arrogant snobs on this board or simply stupid people. My God, this is a benefit concert to raise money for hurricane victims, not some artistic attempt at perfection. Lighten the f--- up.

According to GADAWG, he'll steal the show "right after he steals your wristwatch" - so I don't know why it's hbwriter who is getting called out for racism here.

well i hope that racist insinuation was a joke - if it wasn't - that the comment is purely assinine - though i know there are people today that hear racism in "nice day, huh?"

long as mccartney doesn't do "freedom" - my pick for worst song in the history of man - and these sets are wayyyyyyy too long

He wrote a new one for this

"Go away Sandy, you've been so bad...bring back the sunshine, to make us feel glad"

Hey, doesn't Macca have a song called Driving Rain?

The 2 Eddie Vedder's comment is killing me - too funny!!
Actually one of the people I'm watching this with thought it was Richard Gere - until he started singing of course. I thought I saw Stanley Tucci at the call bank. More wine is definitely needed.

I'm not a Bon Jovi person but I think he's doing a great job...he seems truly passionate.
10 more minutes to Stones!!!!!!!!!!
