Forgot about Clapton...I enjoyed his entire set. He may have been the most consistent.

Santana were great. As were Sha Na Na. and Ten Years After, can't forget about them! And Hendrix, of course.

Not as good as the hype for sure! the show was a bit flat

I think Mick's joke about being the largest gathering of Old English Rockers was true...I'm not sure that it was the best grouping of musicians.

More variety would have been good...some younger acts, some more females. It has been a bit of an old (very old) boys club.

Billy blew a lot of people away! No surprise here - seen him several times over the last 30 years...great songs, great performer.

For me personally (so far)...

1. Billy
2. Bruce
3. Stones (too short!)
4. Clapton

I figure Macca will crack my top two, or perhaps even take the top spot.

It's been a good night for my viewing purposes - Stones, Billy, Bruce, Macca still to come - probably all in my top half-dozen favorite artists ever.

Macca is excellent right now, definitely a top two.

I can definitely see why he anchored the show...Diana Krall as guest. Fantastic!

1. The Stones (even with only 2 songs, they were best tonight, DEC 15 will be super)
2. Paul McCartney w/ ex-Nirvana (significantly better with a real band behind him)
3. The Who (Pete was the star here)
4. Bruce Springsteen
5. Roger Waters

I'll agree Pete was the star...but not enough star power to make up for Roger. That was a travesty.

I just read this a minute ago, and I'm quite sure that a bunch of people will hate it, but I love the idea. I've always been a League of Justice kind of guy, where we get all the grooviest cats together who, on paper, don't seem to go together. I'm a big fan of all these guys and really hope it goes off well.

I remember Grohl saying that he felt bad about not daring to invite Macca to play bass on that supergroup of his (Them Crooked Vultures ?) after he found that Macca was waiting for a call...

Having seen Grohl back up Mick for IORR on SNL that would certainly be interesting...

It's so crazy it has to be good. Or at least interesting.

Wow, the aged Krist Novoselic looks really strange. I wonder how this will turn out.

A Nirvana reunion? Any reunion of any band without the actual singer is usually very strange, but Nirvana really was Cobain. I don't know much about Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl surely is a very good musician, but I don't think he was really essential for Nirvana. Maybe I am wrong.

According to the newspaper, McCartney rang Grohl who asked him to come and "jam with some mates" and then found himself playing with Grohl on drums, Novoselic on bass and Pat Smear on guitar. The report then quotes McCartney as saying: "I didn’t really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said 'Whoa? You guys haven’t played together for all that time?' And somebody whispered to me ‘'That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.' I couldn’t believe it."

If it really happens it should be fun.

Do you mean the Justice League, the DC comic book?

They already have Krist on bass, so is Paul going to play guitar? I assume Grohl will take vocals and drums... Paul on vocals trying to sing Cobain would be painful to watch
